That kinda sucked, but to be honest, after the last couplea weeks this team cannot really disappoint me.

I've seen this team fight, and improve, and beat the pussy AFC West. Green Bay's an elite team with a great homefield advantage... -20 below, gimme a break. I'm already satisfied with this season quite frankly and looking forward to an offseason of picking up goodies for Kiff to play with.

Even Kiff tells Gannon pregame that if we get behind we just flat out don't have the personell to compete... that about says it all. Special teams killed us today, defense did about as expected, and McCown just cannot make things happen on his own. He has to play in a very controlled situation to be effective. Put him 3 TD's down against a good passrush and he's getting himself and the the rest of the offense killed...

So it goes.

I thought McQ looked pretty good against Kampman. He's earning that RT spot. He had one rough play where Kampman threw him down (it was a draw to Jordan out of shotgun) and stopped him for no gain. Looked good in pass protection.

Other than that, I really don't have anything positive to say.

The Raiders regressed again. They got to this game overconfident thinking they were legitimate fighters they got a reality check. They are still boys in a mans world.

McClown was lost since the beggining. The defence was awful since the beginning. The playcalling was wrong from the beggining. All factors got mixed up to spell disaster.

Why didn't they look for Miller early in the game? The line wasn´t protecting well and short safe passes were in place; also, what happened to those successful naked bootlegs? Where the hell was Curry all game?

How could they link three penalties in critical drive deep in their own? This is a proof of their immaturity as a team. If they don't start correcting these errors, even playing good the wins won't come. We've been through these several times before.

Basically the Raiders gave up the game around the half. You could see it because the ran the ball like if nothing happened. No sense of urgency. They had accepted their fate.

The weather caught Kiffin out of guard. he wasn't prepared, nor he prepared his team correctly. It's still learning time for him, and many, many lessons still await.

This is not the lowest point of the season, though the score may indicate so, but it exposed definitely what the Raiders are: An inept offence and a bad defence guided by an energetic, serious boy coach and a seasoned but increasingly questioned defensive coordinator.

The whole thing may improve next season, but right now they can't show enough arguments for having a successful franchise in the short or medium term. Saying the Raiders are contenders in a two years scope it's only wishful thinking.

If we only measure success against bad teams, we will keep being like them. These are the true tests, and serve as a reference point to get better and learn the game. Indy will give Kiffin another set of lessons and a book: "Win realistically in the NFL in 10 years"

The worst display of tackling we've seen all season and Stu put the exclamation point on that last GB TD. Horrendous ST 's play. About the only positive I can come up with was our OL play. Just a cluster fugg all the way around.

I dont think we regressed at all.

We played the best team in the NFC (IMO) and got our ass handed to us.

They have more talent, better playmakers and a good defence...And it showed.

I thought we'd keep it close, but we turned it over, gave up big plays and couldnt stop the run. Elite teams will smash you when you play like that.

If anything, I think this cements JR's journey into the starting role for the last 3 games. The future is now.

Watching Sapp, Sands, and Warren getting pushed around just made it more obvious how badly we need a run stuffer. Long or Dorsey would be helpful.

Whole lotta housecleaning needs to be done on defense. I think I'd actually be open to trading Aso if we could land a high 1st for him and another player or pick. Grab Dorsey and Ellis and be fucking done with it.

As crazy as it sounds we might be headed in the right direction on offense. Improved OL play is going to get better. Fargas and Bush as RB and Russell at QB. WR is sort of a question mark but might get better wit hthe addition of a legit QB.

The defense on the other hand is a mess. Using all our first day picks on the DL wouldn't be the worst thing we could do. They suck. Sapp is done. Brayton is done. Burgess is getting old and is pretty ineffective. Terd...terrible. And the leader of the pack (Ryan) is probably going to get shit canned. I mean WTF?

Eh... Not much to say... I expected the offense to struggle because we don't match up well...


The defense needed to show up for us to have a punchers chance and they didn't, so the outcome was pretty predictable... You cannot keep giving up 150 yards to second tier running backs and expect to win, especially if you aren't an indy/Pats type of powerhouse offense... The tackling was bad, 2003 KC Chiefs level bad, especially by the back 7... We run a finese scheme that goes to shit if our front four can't get in gaps and our LB's can't slip blocks.... The next time one of our LB's stack and shed a block will be the first time... That looming shadow behind you Mr. Ryan is Ed Orgeron waiting to take your job...

I would have liked to keep it within two scores but our special teams play pretty much killed that... This is pretty much one of those games where you throw the game film in the trash and move on to next week..

* It's the kind of day that you can't even take much pleasure in the Chiefs getting prison raped by the Donx...

* Somewhere out there Mouse Davis is smiling... Four wide, double slot, read routes all around... I don't care what they choose to call it, that there is pretty much the old Run and Shoot the Patriots are running out there on a weekly basis... Brady crying every time a defender dares touch him is getting seriously old...

Then we played worse in the second half. Perfect ending to a most imperfect day.

I think it was foolish for anybody to anticipate our defense would show up for a jet lag road game in arctic conditions, let alone contain a premier back.

Yep, if you don't have a front 4... you won't be able to do anything against the run at this level.

Some might argue that Davis is the leader of the pack (especially on the defensive side of the ball)....

As much as the outcome came as expected, I really don't think any of our remaining games are going to be this difficult.

- The Colts are a dome team who historically don't travel well to outdoor stadiums. I'm not expecting a win, but I do expect this team to be more competitive in that matchup.

- The Jags are playing a big game against the Steelers next week. If the Jags can win that, we might catch them flat... the same way the Lions caught the Cowboys flat after their big win against the Pack............ but if the Jags lose that one, I'm sure they'll take it out on us like the Pack did today.

- Chargers finale at home is very winnable. Barring a complete collapse by the Steelers, the Chargers should go into that game with their playoff position already determined and nothing to play for. Very winnable game.... and a nice opportunity to close out the season with a win and a sweep of the AFC West in the 2nd half of the season.

This GB team was supposedly a powerful passing team, and they run the ball like hell. In the end they didn't play particularly good, yet dominated the game more or less easily. Asides that desperate play when Porter had the TD, and made things close 14-7, there was almost no contest. The Raiders were never an offensive threat. They couldva easily come out without points.

Last sunday they Raiders defence controlled the run and they won. Now, GBs secondary weapon devastated the Raiders defence. We were lucky not to face Adrian Peterson when playing at Minn. Unfortunately we still have to face Tomlinson to close the season. I dunno why many think we can win that game if the Chargers have the perfect formula to beat our defence. They have lost many games already, so I'm pretty sure they won't let the last slip out. Indy simply has so many weapons being a completely developed team that the best thing we can do is sit and learn. Time for Russell to play more. Maybe Jax gives us a chance, but Garrard's on fire.

In the offseason the Raiders defensive minds have to think a lot about what's going on the ground. It's out of proportion the way the holes are being opened. It's not Kolby Smith, or the premier RB that turns out, almost everybody is nowadays. Its not precisely the OLmen, or the LBs, there's something very wrong inside the system, it's complex and hard to diagnose. The sad thing is it won't be fixed if you replace one or two linemen.

I mean, the offence is still a shame, but the inability to stop the run is a scandal of biblical proportions. The run is the most basic thing, and teams can run it through our defence at ease, except for a few occasions.

Is this our number one priority?

Those that think we can win the game do so because of the possibility that Tomlinson and most of the starters will be given the game off if the Chargers have clinched the division and 4th seed in the playoffs.

Even without Tomlinson and other starters the chargers won't give up the game so easily. Norv needs to improve his overall record. Green Bay had nothing to prove today, still came out on fire.
