Raiders | Henry to meet with Raiders
Sun, 4 Mar 2007 12:26:14 -0800

Jerry McDonald, of the Inside Bay Area, reports although not confirmed, next up to visit the Oakland Raiders is unrestricted free-agent RB Travis Henry (Titans).

I've always liked this dude's ability, but he seems to burn bridges with the quickness, for whatever reason. I wouldn't mind making him our starter though.

That Henry's one mistake away from being a three striker and facing a year suspension makes me wary, but if the money's not significant he'd be a good get...

From Nancy Gay at the Chron: The whole report is in the Raiders are inerested in thread

A report that running back Travis Henry is set to visit the team is not true, several NFL sources told us Sunday morning. Henry was released by the Titans on Saturday and immediately visited the Denver Broncos.

But he is not headed to Alameda, our sources tell us. Apparently, the Raiders want nothing to do with a player who was suspended four games in 2005 for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. Another strike against Henry, and anything the Raiders pay him will be wasted money.

Ilike this idea - smart decisions

Looks like its going to be an interesting showdown with Jordan this week. So I guess Tuesday is when we'd have to drop him if his roster bonus is due on Wednesday and we don't wanna pay it.
