I thought for sure that bootleg lantern was going to have yellow juice instead of green. Sinestro really seemed to be hinting at something like that. Strange that he would be on the level, rather than, ya know, sinister.

It definitely had the yellow/fear infused in the lantern, we just didn't yet know how it will play out. Sinestro didn't initially forge the yellow ring in the comics to be nefarious, it was just to become more powerful in executing his duties. Very SWs/dark side ish in origin. Maybe John is supposed to end up a grey Jedi instead of a Sith.

Acting strong and storyline decent. I didn’t follow the comics heavy as a kid but it was enough to grab my attention

It was good but also super dependent on a finale that ended up leaving a lot of questions. I'd like to think it was intentional to line up season 2, but it was initially planned as a one season arc. Thankfully it looks like there will be a second season so hopefully we'll get some clarity at some point.

I saw a tweet that said as many people are watching this show as prime GOT. I think they will try and give it a longer run.

I saw that, and saw some dispute it by saying the original claim was comparing Lanterns' worldwide numbers to GoT's domestic viewership. Whatever the case, it drew far more eyes than I expected. Who knew the Green Lantern was that marketable?
