TV Discussion

Welp. This could get messy.

Real American was actually the music U. S. Express (Barry Windham and Mike Rotundo) came out to. Windham went back to the NWA, and somehow it was given to Hogan. And the rest they say is history.

Is it worth watching? I don't think I even finished last season.

There aren't any flying sheep yet, so that's something.

It's not going to recapture the excellence of the early seasons. The writing is comparable to last season's. There's even a meta joke about finales being hard to write. Kimiko has some eyeroll worthy dialogue after having been one of the best parts of the show. Homelander is somehow less interesting so far, which is kinda fucking tragic.

It's watchable, but I'd recommend having a couple beverages before hitting play.

Been watching Euphoria with the wife, she looks at me and says you never cared about this show before, you just want to look at all the women. She was right... It's pretty good for that too. Also, Marshawn has a character.

She could always watch Daredevil with you instead.

The fact that they're supposed to be high school kids kinda fucks with me.

Season 3 they are out of high school. I didn't really watch the other two seasons though caught a little because my wife was watching.

I sure hope they don't fuck up Goth Buffy.

Eric Kripke on whether ‘The Boys’ ending will satisfy fans after divisive finales like ‘Game of Thrones’

"I approached it with absolute terror ... I was not confident ... because people do a weird thing where they retroactively judge a show based on the finale"

"'Game of Thrones' [is] technically and creatively a groundbreaking, monumental achievement, which stumbled a little bit on three episodes ... those happened to be its last three, and now everyone is like ''Game of Thrones'... mid' I'm like really?.. that show changed the world"

"So I'm terrified of that response ... and I think it ended up being helpful because I was so careful [going] through everything. I think we pulled it off ... but who the hell knows? ... my butt is clenched waiting to see how people react"

Half your audience already thinks you've fucked the show up. What's left for the finale to ruin?

Another episode of The Boys in the can.
