Here we go round the qarterback bush..
Miami apparently is interested in him. He enjoyed the luxury of playing behind a pretty decent OL in KC. He's not going to have that luxury here although as a team/lockerrom guy there's probably no one better.
We have to wait for him to be cut and I doubt he makes it.
Chiefs Really Want to Trade Green, Just Not to Oakland

Hmmm. Who do you think the Chiefs have in mind when you read this?
Kansas City sent out a memo to the rest of the NFL, declaring that quarterback Trent Green is free to discuss a deal with every team in the league -- except the ones in the AFC West.
NFL Network's Adam Schefter points out that Denver and San Diego have young quarterbacks and aren't in the market for a starter. Which leaves ... the Oakland Raiders. That's right, the Chiefs think so much of Green they are trying to trade him (to give Damon Huard the job), just not to the Raiders. You know, because he might actually will that team to more than two wins next season.
I can kinda understand the thinking here, but it doesn't mean it's any less stupid. If the Chiefs can't find a team willing to take Green off their hands, they will either have to keep him or release him. If they keep him, he probably won't be all that happy about his new role as clipboard-toter. If they release him, the Chiefs get nothing and Green is free to sign with any team ... including the Raiders. Lose and lose.
The Dolphins have expressed interest in Green -- they too have a real need for a competent starting quarterback -- but if Miami is smart, they could acquire Green for a late-round pick, and turn around and try to extort a better deal out of the Raiders for his services. If it works, great; if not, the Dolphins have a short-term solution to their quarterback issues. Especially if they manage to land Brady Quinn in next month's draft.
You really can't fault the Chiefs for wanting to keep Trent Green away from the Raiders. The last quarterback to go from the Chiefs to the Raiders did pretty well in Oakland. Obviously this is still a sore subject in Kansas City with their refusal to trade with the Raiders.
While Green might not be the next Rich Gannon for the Raiders, the move would make a lot of sense for Oakland. If they could protect him. Maybe even more so than acquiring Jake Plummer.
Green put up three-consecutive seasons of passing for more than 4,000 yards and that streak ended because of injuries. If the Raiders draft a quarterback or not, they are still going to need a veteran presence back there to bring along Brady or Russell. And Andrew Walter probably isn't going to fill that void.
