Where'd you get the tidbit from, if I can ask... and how fucking much longer are we going to have to wait for anything official? I can tell you that we've already waited about 9 games too long...

Anyway, I don't know why they're elevating Shoop, other than "no other viable alternative" given that his previous stints featured an offense that was in no way similar (other than the general futility of it) of what our players have been working on since OTAs...

IMO, Shoop is a seat warmer. Al spent most of the last off-season looking at Petrino, Saunders and Whisenhunt. I'm guessing getting stuck with Art's boy Walsh has seriously pissed him off. I'm betting next year's OC is going to be some young, up-and-comer thats affiliated this year with a team whose offense is scoring a ton of points.

No viable alternative is the most likely choice.... Skip Peete, Freddy B, McElwain, Slater... We didn't exactly stock the pond with guys with playcalling experience... The only other alternative would be a Fassell, but I'd as soon let Shoop close out as a seat warmer as Banter suggests and then go out and aggressively persue someone as soon as possible...

What I'm talking about is the plays being called, the WR routes, TE's etc..

I've seen a big difference, I'v commented on both games that I thought Walsh had called in sick.

I'm wondering if secretly Al gave the OC to Shoop or someone these last couple of games to see what they could do

This makes no sense. Wait for a couple of days? For what? It's Tuesday and the team plays on Sunday...wouldn't the new OC be taking control ASAP?

I talked with my buddy who has ties to the Raider FO and he said that he hasn't heard anything about Walsh being fired this week. It's Tuesday and they have 4 days to prep for Houston, I doubt a move is made this afternoon.

The good news is... It does appear, however, that there will be pressure from above to fire him at the end of the season.

The bad news is... Even if Walsh is let go, they're going to bring in someone who has allegiances towards the vertical offense.

Well they beetr spend a ton of money in FA shoring up the line before they start overpaying for skill position guys and draft a franchise type RB.

Well I am ok if we stick to the Vertical offence. but it should mean the person coming in needs to scheme better.......and use the personel better then Walsh has.

If this Walsh rumor has any legs and is not just another ploy to spike Premium sales, I'm thinking he'll just be relieved of playcalling duties rather than being out right fired... Unless Al brought some serious heat, I don't see Art outright firing his BFF...
