The UFL Thread (USFL-XFL Merger)

60+ yard FGs are 4 points now.
Honestly I wouldn't object. It adds a layer of strategy to the game. It could be a literal game changer during the final minutes of a game. Could even drop it to 2 points if you're within the 10 yard line. Force a bit more action in the red zone.

Actually pushes the NFL back a few years on making any changes like that. They don't want it to look like they're following the UFL. Couple of great USFL rules didn't come into play in the NFL until many years later because the NFL wants everyone to believe they own the game of football. Instant replay was one. My personal opinion is if it aint broke (like the old kickoffs) - don't fix it. The only rule that overrides that one is never let a lawyer try to fix anything unless you want to end up with really stupid overtime rules.

I hate that games are already being decided by stupid long field goals. They have made it easier with the special kicking balls. This is hard no for me.

1. Stupid
2. Better idea - make college 2 feet too
3. Rearranging the deck chairs
4. Fine as long as helping runners anywhere on the field is also eliminated with it
5. Why?
6. Fuck no. It's football, not an air hockey game in Billy's basement

7.
1 point - okay
2 points - okay
3 points - when you kick a FG from the 8 yard line*

*Only applies to the team's next possession.

You don't kick a XP/FG from the 8 yard line. You run a play. It's similar to the 2 pt conversion, but 6 yards further out, so theoretically more difficult.
