Chase Garbers is doing well for San Antonio.
Nice improvisational scramble to score and go up by 2 TDs, but what happened on the sideline before the play was impressive leadership.
3rd and goal from about the 6. SA calls a time out, players come to the sideline and gather around the OC, but there's lots of commotion and clamoring going on.
Garbers takes command with a loud 'shut up and listen' so that order is restored and the play call clearly communicated. Good stuff. Excellent coverage by BSPN.
DC series before that was classic. They score on a nice TD pass, but after the play is over...there's a flag. #59 is ejected for a personal foul. The personal foul was spitting on a SA player. No big deal because the TD stands, right ? Wrong. While the replay booth and officials are sorting things out, Wade Phillips uses a 'super challenge' claiming the RT false started on the TD play but the officials missed it. Challenge is upheld. TD called back. Funniest of all, it was #59 that false started, so the bonehead wound up not only getting ejected for spitting but also cost his team a TD.
Needless to say, the DC QB immediately throws a pick that's returned about 90 yards, leading to Garbers' score a few plays later.
UFL rocks.
