Sounds like we're headed for a lockout. Something I read that I hadn't considered is that the real reason the other owners are pissed is that the Dodgers structuring contracts with ridiculously long payout schedules reduces the amount of luxury tax they have to pay annually.

I like the old school attitude. I think hitting hitters in retaliation shouldn’t be an automatic ejection, either. To me, it’s part of the allure of the game. But they will eventually have them wearing tutus and holding hands and singing kumbaya.
