The Not Too Early 2026 NFL Draft Thread

I think the Bucs drafted a shit ton of OL every year when Spytek was there.

Not a bad strategy.
The fact he took Jeanty, Bech, and Porter with his first three picks last year has me convinced we’re going OL/DL with the majority of our 2nd/3rd/4th rounders.

I think Pete locked John out of the draft room and just fucked around last year. Thats just my personal theory.

I would love to watch a documentary on how fucked up the Spytek "rebuild" and the Pete Carroll "compete" situation really went down in a couple decades lol.

"None of this shit looks normal. It doesnt look like we have a plan"

"Fuck you hater, Pete has this handled! 10-7 herp derp!" :rotf:

I think Spy is probably thinking he's invested too much in the OL already to do this but I'd be like
jizz in my pants GIF
Can’t invest enough in the line. Especially with Miller and JPJ’s health. Unless Spy thinks he has something in Rodgers and Grant.

yeah we don’t know what he thinks of them.
Kubiak so far has been a straight shooter. Read OC was important to his O, we landed Linderbaum. He said he wants a QB to learn behind a vet. We sign Cousins. He said we need a safety and he wants RB to share the load. I have no doubt that we will draft a safety and sign and/or draft a RB.

Kubiak said he likes our OL. He’s specifically mentioned Glaze and Grant in addition to Miller and JPJ. We signed Spencer to compete with Rogers and Meredith. Yet, many believe we are drafting an OL at 2.36. IDK.

Per Mock (updated 4/9), Raiders’ pick 4.102 is sitting outside of the sweat spot for the 2nd wave of safeties this year (Zierlein/Steeler Depot rankings). Might need to trade up to get the last of the good ones:
  • #83 Ramsey (6.11/8.7)
  • #89 B. Clark (6.28/8.5)
  • #90 Wheatley (6.15/8.5)
  • #94 Kilgore (6.32/8.1)
  • #95 G. Smith (5.96/7.4)
SpyGuy has the ammo to trade up from 4.102 to 3.92 to land a projected starting caliber safety (if they fall as currently mocked) by trading 4.134 to get his guy. Alternatively, SpyGuy can trade down (even twice) from 3.65.

#Raiders have met virtually w/ Notre Dame OT Aamil Wagner 👇👇👇

6'6/306lbs w/ 34.5" arms & 10.25" hands.

Not the smoothest mover in RBLK, but athletic enough that he could maybe figure it out. Gave up just 2 sacks in college and 0 after W1 his senior year.

R6 projection

Guess we have spent quite a bit of time with Branch

Raiders seem to really like Georgia WR Zachariah Branch.

Met w/ him at the combine, his Pro Day, and now hosting him for a 30 visit.

LV native, relative of legend Cliff Branch.

Not an "X" receiver but a speedster and electric w/ ball in his hands. Can help in the return game.

He was mostly a gadget type guy at Georgia but he looked great in all the receiver drills at the Combine, looked natural in the gauntlet. Wouldn’t be opposed to him at 3.67.

He's the dude who caught a billion screens right?

5-8 177 with little stubby arms. I dunno if he is a fit!

That’s the guy. Fun as hell after the catch. I’ll admit I was pretty down on him until I saw him go through the gauntlet… it’s the only drill I care about with receivers and I thought he looked like a natural and didn’t expect that. I’d take a shot on that talent in the 3rd but understand guys not liking him too.
