I want to say Mike Tice had Banks higher than Membou and Will Campbell as well. With Simmons being at the top of the list. Not sure if i remember the list 100% accurate though. @Crow do you recall

Edit found the list

  1. Josh Conerly Jr.
  • 2. Josh Simmons (ignoring the injury)
  • 3. Kelvin Banks Jr
  • 4. Armand Membou
  • 5. Will Campbell
honestly in my research he seems like a fine prospect, just not as much media chatter as some... and speaking for myself and I'm sure others we all have our pet players we're holding out for... doesn't mean the talent difference is all that significant.

It's a Batman movie, man. They're all the same. No matter how many times new writers and new directors retell the Batman origin story, his parents always get shot in the alley, and the pearls always get snatched. We're just clutching our pearls in anticipation.

We are the Bateman version though.

Selecting Banks would be a major buzzkill… Hard to see how it would dramatically help this team. Miller and Glaze aren’t all-pros by any stretch, but they are at least competent (and relatively young) players at OT which is more than can be said about what’s at other positions. And it’s not like Banks is some high ceiling/ dominant OL. This team needs a lot more than a potentially incremental upgrade; and way too many opportunities available at 1.6 to make a step change improvement at another position. I would much prefer to see a trade down than to see 1.6 used on Banks.

Hopefully this is a smokescreen to combat smokescreens coming out of New England and Jax, but odd that all the draftniks are jumping on this train… This would put a quick damper on any hopes that Spy / Carroll offers anything different from the futility of previous regimes and can get this turned around any time soon.

I mean. Adding a good offensive line prospect who is solid in the run game and has 40 games of good film at LT is not a bad idea.

I'd much rather trade down to 10 or so to do it but I completely get the idea.

Instantly improves your OL at guard and if Hall of Famer Kolton Miller fucks off next year we have the guy ready to go.

I’d still rather have Membou if we have to go OT…

I'd rather have Campbell or Membou.

But they dont pay us to make the picks lol.

All you can do is hope we dont fuck it up like usual.
Ya I’m not a Campbell fan as much. All in all they are all pretty similar with Campbell being the one who gave up the most pressures the past 3 years.

But also the one who'll probably be the best guard of the three, so...if you're going to draft a bad tackle...

I hate it here.

I don't have a problem with banks the prospect. Just that he's a top ten guy. But position scarcity i get it. If we can flip Kolton for a 2nd or better... im good
