The never way too early 2027 NFL Draft thread

As I see it right now, I'd say going into next year's draft and free agency period our team needs are as follows:
1. WR1
2. DT - combo beast that can equally defend the run and apply pressure on the QB
3. OL - best available interior or tackle
4. WR2
5. LB (depth)
6. DE - assuming Crawford takes longer to recover and develop

No qualms.

#2 and #3 could also be reversed

Would Go all in for Jeremiah Smith. Same offer as Texans for Will Anderson (Pick 12, 33 and 2028 First and Third Round)
Mendoza/Smith/Bowers/Jeanty…..

Smith absolutely has all world talent I just wouldn’t mortgage the future for a WR. If he were a spot or two ahead go on and see if you can make a little jump up. Just too many holes still on the roster to be flipping 4 early picks to grab one player that isn’t a QB. Just too high a variance in what you may actually get in return especially considering we don’t even know what we have in our QB at this stage. Especially in what appears to be a deep draft across the board.

We are currently slotted at pick 23. Probably changes after this murderous row of games we have incoming though.
I have to wonder if giving up all those picks is why Houston's OL is as bad as it is though.
I would still give this offer consideration and especially if we are picking later as we are slated now. We would not have pick 33 in any current scenario though...

We’ve already moved on from Jeremiah Smith. He’s going top 2. We’re not spending a bunch of picks trying to move up. We have some fish to fry and need to nail this draft.
Yep, it's not even worth discussing. Ridiculous player though.

It’s realistic to think we can fill at least a couple of holes in free agency. Obviously, it depends on who’s available, but landing a starting-caliber offensive lineman and/or a legit No. 2 receiver certainly isn’t an unrealistic expectation.

If we can do that, it really cuts down the number of positions we absolutely have to address in April. It’d be fantastic to go into next year’s draft needing to shore up just a couple spots (WR and DT) instead of trying to rebuild half the damn roster like we have in years past.

This a madness Hea not Jerry rice this offense is 4th in ppg we don’t need a smith bad enough to give up firsts for him

Kobie Turner or Moro Ojomo in free agency then attack the WR in the draft

Kj Duff in the first Coleman Williams in the second
