If a trade down wasn’t possible I think I have to go Membou

What is the 6th pick worth anyway...besides what someone would give up I mean. Like the "official" compensation...

You can’t pass on Jeanty. How many times have the Raiders passed on one of the best players in the draft for a bust? The risk of regret is too high for me. Floor, fit/need and upside are all there. None of that is there for Graham. Not surprised, at all, that the Jags are out on Graham. Doubt they pass on Jeanty.

There's a floor on Graham that's pretty high. He's also a longer term investment. Jeanty is going to be a stud. But rb is a really tough position to "invest" a lot of cap dollars into when you can get similar production for much cheaper. Henderson in round 2 gives you a very versatile weapon who is nfl ready and knows our O already. Graham in 1 or even a year of Membou at G before taking over a T spot is better value on that pick.

I'm all for taking jeanty because end of day he's a near can't miss prospect in a draft full of warts. But I completely get taking a longer term/higher positional value investment.

I try to be consistent in all platforms -- no trades in Lil Al, so I chose Graham.

Jeanty fumbles much more than average, and didn't have the cojones to run a forty or a three cone. That bothers me because evidence of his long speed is scarce and he shows some stiffness changing direction.

WTF are you talking about Bird ! I’d say he has plenty of evidence of his long speed… :rotf:

Ashton Jeanty had 17 runs of 30+ yards during his junior season. He also led the nation in plays from scrimmage of 10+ yards (68), 40+ yards (13), 50+ yards (12), 60+ yards (10), and 70+ yards (5), according to aausullivan.secure-platform.com

Stats are stats. (See Clemons, Sam)

Break through a stacked box and you have 20 easy. Good blocking WRs get 7+ extra yards.

Then there is an entire game film.

Remember all the bitching about Josh Jacobs getting caught from behind? Jeanty reads blocks very well and is good at getting through holes cleanly, but he seldom ran away from DBs. And that was against guys who won't be playing Sunday.

Very deep draft at RB.

Have you ever seen him caught from behind?
I have yet to see it happen. Maybe a guy has a good angle and gets him but not caught from behind.

I’m not exactly advocating for him to be our pick but he doesn’t have many weaknesses in his game. His speed isn’t one of them that’s for sure.

Someone other than me.

TDL guys still have him RB #1 but question the same things. Don't just refuse my words.

I mean linking them or quoting a YouTube is no different than having @Madturk say something about him or @007. Being on YouTube and or writing a blog for some 3rd rate sports webpage doesn’t mean you know any more about a subject than I or anyone else here does.

We disagree on the idea that his speed is a real concern at all. No biggy. We all know he’s not Henderson speed wise but we can all see he’s also not Cam Skattebo either. He takes great angles and doesn’t get caught not much more to say about it. Even in college you could see Jacobs was a tad slow not the case with Jeanty.

they said Marcus was slow didn't they? :chuckle:
