If you're wondering what the hold-up is with Doza's contract, Q talked to a former agent about it. He says #1 overall picks get their signing bonuses in one lump sum. The Raiders pay their first round pick bonuses in stages. Not sure if that's the issue, seeing as we're under new management. But that's what they're talking about.

I always wonder if this is about the player, the agent or the union. Would not be surprised if Mendoza goes over his agent’s head and tells him to just get it done. Doubt he’ll miss any time over interest. He’s already benefiting from a tax free state. He’ll make plenty of extra money with endorsements, which a holdout would only hurt.

Surprisingly we're 50/50 on missing vs. exceeding win projections over the last decade.

I would have taken the under on that bet.

5-6 projection this year feels right though.
