Just curious, who makes up the points that you win? Why would you get only one point for taking the Steelers?

And, Rupert got eliminated...hehehehehe.

Sand said the points were based on the rankings from nfl.com (I believe) from the end of last season....the way I played before...there were no points...just pick a team and if they win, you move on, if not, you're out. :)

I'm sooooooooo mad at you Rupert!!

The problem is I got busy, and now had to drop some of the little things. I forgot this, and have slipped on the Trivia game too. I'll get back into it when I have more time. Unfortunately the survivor pool requires you to pay attention to it. I would have picked a team had the #s been up, because my approach was to pick the team most likely to win that had the largest number. Without the numbers I didn't have a clue who to pick. Then I had to get ready for the trip to Oakland and wrap up some personal business and ooops, I got eliminated.

Well...if you'd have waited 5 minutes, I got the numbers up as soon as I could, dang it :(

I think it's better when there are no numbers and when you can't use the same team twice.

After all the name of the game is to survive.

Anyway, I guess it's me and Angel battling it out.

I agree Bones...that's the way I'm used to playing it.

Bones.....get your pick in already!!

Btw...what happened to my rep points? :(

Well here is what happened...

When we started the board I wanted the "Rep" to acumlate faster so I changed the settings...you know rep power for ever 10 posts instead of 100 or something like that. So when I changed it back the numbers changed but the little Rep Power boxes didn't....Now I got the whole thing fucked up. Perfect. Nice one Bones.

Yeah...now we get no rep whatsoever.

Week 5 results

Crossbones--Indy (2) + 46 = 48 points
Angel -- Chicago (20) + 61 = 81 points

What I plan on doing if I can figure out how to is to revert everybody back to some reasonable rep power and we'll kind of start over using the default values.

The reason the defaults are the way they are is so the rep system will be effective for a long time. In other words it should take years to get all those little boxes lit up. We did it in less than a year cuz when AP or Rupert or I gave rep the newer posters got like 4-5 little boxes in one rep giving. See what i mean? Film @ eleven.

The whole idea is to reward good posts without giving th store away. That's how it is designed!
