fuck both teams because thery aint the raiders. but for the record i pick the bears by 7

Colts by 10... 27-17

*MVP- Joeseph Addai
*Grosssman has a decent game and quiets all the haters.
*Manning audible's to run plays and keeps defense guessing.

Im trying to guess something different here.

I think this game will start to snowball when the Bears make a few mistakes.

This will the pinacle of Manning's career and I think he not only knows it, but is ready for it.

God bless Billy Joel for not butchering the Anthem.

WFT? How in the hell could the Colts possibly allow the opening kickoff to be returned for a TD?

Just remember who called the bears. As soon as i saw rain in the forcast, i saw advantage Bears.

Sloppy game thus far. They seem to finally be settling down though.

Ok guys, I've now decided that we do infact need an elite quarterback to take us to the promised land... not just a decent one to go along with a good running game and defense. :D

Pretty much.

Defense wins championships unless you have a Rex Grossman (type) at QB.

The JaMarcus jihad is alive and well in Oaktown.

props to the colts, they earned it.

mike brown and tommie harris out. thats a pretty big chunk of their defense. When you find a first round qb playing in this league even close to peyton manning in this league, then it would be a legit thing to chase. the only guy even considered in the same game winning breath with him was a 6th round pick.

I think we just need someone who gets the best out of our system right away. typically thats a vet. Either way I can think of a better qb who played a worse game in the SB:o :( along with a lesser qb who had a better SB. Again though Manning stepped up and proved again no 4-3 defense can hold him.

also props to the colts cover 2 defense. i'm not a fan of it, but they dared the bears to throw short and the bears couldnt take advantage. gave up no deep plays. great game by them.

Wasn't Dilfer the 6th pick overall?

yea and he was a bust for the most part based of how high he was picked. in fact on two 20 td seasons his whole career. Dude was average with a great healthy defense and running game. elite status is kinda bleh to me and i dont know if its as simple as it seems to have the colts scenario(gannon never had such status til he found a fit here). just me though and excuse me if i'm seem like i'm venturing any further than that.

It's ok, you have a right to your opinion.

It's not like we have to go out of our way here. Need and opportunity has kinda come together for us.

Why not take a shot?

So much for defenses win championships

Theres only one thing me and Big58 (and as much as I hated that fuckin wanker) we did agree that the old saying that defenses win championships is dogshit

Raiders have a better defense than the Colts

Drafting a franchise QB has proven time and time it wins the SB

I want that 2000-2002 offense we use to have

We get back to that and it is on

i dont know, the colts defense stepped up big imo. and its them fixing the run defense issues that propelled them through the playoffs.

Even a blind squirrel can find a nut once in his life.

For every Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson who get the privelege of playing with two of the top defenses EVER and coasting their way to a Superbowl, there are QB's like:

Elway, Aikman, Young, Montana, Brady, Manning etc. who help lead their teams to victory.

As a matter of fact, take a look at the last ten Superbowls; Names like Favre, Elway, Brady, Aikman, Hasselbeck, McNabb and McNair come up A TON more than guys like Trent Dilfer.

And runningbacks like Dominic Rhodes, Thomas Jones, Pittman, Garner, Willie Parker, Antowain Smith (X2), Brian Westbrook etc have been able to get the job done along the way for those teams with Franchise QB's.

Let's go QB jihad.

At this point, we're now tied with the other 31 teams in the league and will more than likely have about 5-6 picks in the first 4 rounds and some new and exciting coaches.

We've hit rock bottom I believe and there is only one way up now boys...
