I just wanna thank you guys for the warm welcome back. I really missed you guys while I was over in the cat box building houses for the Marines, pouring concrete and building showers for other Marines, etc, etc. Real quick, WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! Very scary and very rewarding and all the while, very miserable. I hated being away from home.
My wife is doing well and I have been very busy settling into stateside life. We have moved (again) closer to my wifes kin folk and now live in a tiny little nook in So.Cal. called Helendale. Lake, golf course etc. Ya, i like it. Now we are exploring to idea of opening a restaurant/bar and me getting out of the construction bidness alltogether, My trip to the Dirt hole really exposed my phyisical age and I beat to SH!T. After 24 years of building houses and fixing the dumps, I am done with that!
While I was away, my oldest son was promoted to 3rd class Petty Officer (E-4) in the Navy. There were two family weddings, two children born and a divorce. Worse part of the deal was the dent in my brand new 2007 F-350 that I drove for a month before I left. Ya, the queen bee forgot to watch where she was backing to.....OH WELL.
On the Raiders: I saw the first game against SD. It was on my first night in Kuwait and was sporting all my gear. I saw a few other games, but the result was the same. 2-14?? Who'd a thunk it? I love what i see in our defense. If we can get an o-line fix and a hungry RB, we are a VERY GOOD team. I think Lane Kiffin IS the answer and we need to draft smart-a WR, Rb, Dline AND Oline and fix the rest through FA. I'd love to see a Billy Volek signing. I's stay away from David Carr, unless we can be sure the o-line is fixed.
Anyway, forgive my absence here. I am still adjusting. I am hitting the road in April for vacation back in Idaho with my kin. I'll miss draft weekend while my wife and I hit the Laughlin River Run on my new HD Heritage Softail Classic then I cap off the Reunion Tour/Seven Day Weekend with my wife and kids at lake Powell for 4th of July week. Then it is back to the grindstone.
Anyway, Go Raiders!!!!!
Crow, I am awaiting that beer, bro!
