That's just the evolution of film. Can't be mad at that, IMO.

It would be silly to make the scene worse just for the sake of matching it up with a film that was 40ish years old at the time.

Of all the rando things that have irritated me, it's fat Thrawn.

I understand their need to create excitement for the closing, but it's just something that sticks out like a sore thumb.

Fat Thrawn was a little bit off-putting, but unless they either shot everything from the chest up or CG'd his belly out, there wasn't much they could do, as it was the original voice actor, IIRC.

While I loved the scene for its chaos and action, it was irritating because it immediately leads into Episode IV, where he was very stiff with his actions.

I think I read something that explained why Vader was so lame in his fight with Obi Wan. It was something to the effect of: he used up so much of his energy post Bacta tank during the chaos of that final scene and he never had a chance to recharge before his duel with Kenobi. Hence the much more subdued battle. I’d buy that take for a dollar.
