Sigh. It's that time of year again where Disney promises a bunch of new Star Wars content that never comes to fruition.

Oh, shit. The first three episodes of Andor dropped tonight.

I will say that I’m a little tired of the Mon Monthma plot line at this point. The political intrigue is cool but it’s time to move it along. It’s just lingering at this point.

I watched the first episode of season 2 of Andor. I now remember why I hated the first season so much. It’s boring as fuck. I’m looking at the synopsis for the next episode and it says “Mon’s wedding woes mount”. Are they fucking serious?

Revenge of the Sith is back in theaters for a week.

How was the experience?

It was cool. I’ve seen it at least a dozen times already so it wasn’t some super nostalgic experience or anything. I did go with my daughter to the same theater that we say it originally when she was 5, so that was a fun detail. I’m pretty sure they cut a lot out of the temple scene.’

I never saw any of the original six films on the big screen.

I went yesterday. It was awesome. Unfortunately, the theater already was sold out of the limited edition cups.

But it was great to see all those set pieces on the big screen. I love all of George's six films and ROTS is very Shakespearean in how it presents Anakin's fall.

Highly recommended.

Return of the Jedi was the first one I saw at its original premiere but back in those days it was common to bring movies back around so I saw them all in the theater in the correct order as a kid.

RoTS was definitely the best of the prequels for me and possibly tied with RoTJ in terms of place on the favorite overall list. Phantom Menace being my least favorite in retrospect.

It’s pretty interesting how the SWs universe ended up being built around Anakin instead of Luke. Truth be told, I was kind of tired of the Skywalker saga until they brought him into The Mandalorian and I remembered what prime Luke Skywalker was supposed to be. I think how they portrayed him in the sequel trilogy kinda ruined him for me at the time.
