I think an effort to revamp and improve our special teams got extra attention from kiffin and those around him this offseason

BJ Ward
Fred Wakefield
Johnny Lee Higgins
Eric Frampton
Oren Oneil
John Holland
Dominic Rhodes

On top of contributing heavily as backups... These guys are special teams freaks. I basically know of ward because of his ST skills. Wakefield was also reportedly a monster ST guy that green kept trying to find a position for. Higgins is a return guy, frampton is a wedge buster. O'Neal is one of the fastest FBs around and a special teams guy in addition to being a thumper at FB. Holland is apparantly a return guy. Wouldnt surprise me that Bowie is too. Before Rhodes cracked Indy's RB situation he was an ST standout. If Coop/Carr stick around as well as Brown/Ekijuba then we have one of the best ST groups ive ever seen on one team.

I've read a couple different scouting reports that praised his open field tackling. They say he closes in on the ball carrier with a burst of speed. Sounds like a potential gunner to play opposite Cooper.
