Any Deadwood fans here? I'm a huge fan and HBO is just fuckin the Nips sideways with a lunchbox on this one. We all heard the last 2 shows being 2 hours long, well theres word now that if a contract doesnt get done by the end of the month, we will have all seen the last of one of the premier series of our time

Got damn shame

Speacking of which, to kill a little time

I say Paulie having found out his aunt was his real mother sneaks into Tonys hideout room in next weeks finale and slips Tony the tongue... Whattya all think?

By the way, rumours out the Raiders are gonna sign Jets guard Pete Kendall this week

Do you have a link on the Deadwood info?

I saw the 1st episode in Philly in my hotel room and thought it was great. But at home it's just channels 2-13, so I've not kept up.
Full seasons 1 & 2 are here for viewing: http://www.tv-links.co.uk/show.do/1/924
This website has movies (Monty Python, Spiderman 3) for viewing as well as tv shows (Sopranos, Heroes, Trailer Park Boys), cartoons, anime (Who needs cable?).

I've also heard that rumor about Kendall on a blog yesterday, but it had no citation, so I figured I'd wait and see. I heard it was for a 4th or 5th rounder in 2008. When he went to the Jets in 2004, they implemented a zone blocking scheme and their current O line Coach has kept a lot of Zone Blocking in their scheme, so he knows the system and he's worked with a team implementing it. He's 34, but at 292, he may hold up a while. I'm all for bringing in veteran help and depth for this unit.

I thought Deadwood was already done? The creator of that show has already moved on to John From Cincinnatti, which looks pretty good... Deadwoood was great the first season, but it seemed they fell in love with excessive dialogue after that to the point it detracted from the meat of the storyline... It got to the point that it was hard following what they were saying...

Plus the whole Nip fascination with the hotness that was Calamity Jane was disturbing...

Paulie's general unhappiness... his prior flirtation with joining NY through Jonny Sack... his being upset that people didn't show for his mom's funeral... Tony almost deciding to kill him on the boat, but didn't... his obvious displeasure of warring against NY... Everything seems to point to the guy Tony almost killed coming back and haunting him by turning on him, but the guy that plays Paulie supposedly has it in his contract that his character won't be a rat so who knows...

I was disappointed that when Tony turned to Italy for help that it didn't turn out to be the return of Furio, even with the friction between them... Tony doesnt' seem to have a whole lot of soldiers for a NJ crimeboss... You gotta figure AJ figures in the ending somehow or why subject us to all his annoying whining this season...

Either way, The Wire > The Sopranos and Deadwood :p

Either way, The Wire > The Sopranos and Deadwood :p

Something I should have added about the website above, it's not entirely supported by the corporate entertainment industry. So sometimes you'll click on a link (as I just did to check out an episode of The Wire, because Hboy has such wood for it (sapling maybe, but oak tree?, C'mon)) and it will not play. Click the mark as dead button and they'll link to another copy of it somewhere else in the near future.
The website is not illegal as it has no content, but merely links you to where the video is.

I LOVED DEADWOOD..........

Here is the lowdown from Powers Boothe on the final 2hour Series Finales this was from 4/30/2007

http://www.tvguide.com/news-views/I...osting={79940130-DF1A-445D-8C80-E067FFD94D02}

TV Guide: What's the state of the supposed finales?
Boothe: We're planning on doing two two-hour movies this summer. They're talking about [starting production in] June, but I'll tell you, honestly, as much as I hope it happens, I'll believe it when I see it. When a cast splits up, it's hard to bring them back together.

TV Guide: Do you mean that the fate of the movies is in jeopardy?
Boothe: If we don't do it in June, I don't think it'll ever be done, because, look, various people have pilots for other series. I have other commitments, and I know Ian [McShane] has other commitments. That [June] time slot is kind of it. But I think if any show ever deserved at least that much, it's Deadwood!!

Here is something from David Milch in Jan. so I am not sure if I am holding out hope after reading Powers article.

Come on!

Everyone knows Kate & Allie is the best show on television... re-runs or not.

Deadwood? Isn't that what Bones's wife refers to him as?

Haha. I dont have HBO, but that looks worth a DVD buy to me. I thought that was the3 whole series not just one ep.

With The Shield topping them all... best show on TV for the last 3 years.

Fuckin eh.

Only show I watch religously.

Oh, and Prison Break...Too much action for a dude not to enjoy that for an hour.

Either way, The Wire > The Sopranos and Deadwood :p
This is truth. I started watching in season 4, but I'm glad I went back and watched all the old ones.

More people should be watching this show.

Arrested Development is my favorite with the Wire coming in second. The Office is funny as hell too. Either version. I am going to check out more deadwood. I havent had HBO in like 3 years... it sucks.
