Rhoades, Sapp, Kiffin and McCown all are on Deck to be interviewed.....

Kirwan said some younger guys started some fights yesterday at camp, he spend some time with Al yesterday (he will get back to that later).

The brought up the O-line.
Kirwan stated that Gallery looks good at LG, and he likes him there. RT is Cornell Green and Pat thinks we make a trade or get a guy off the waiver?

They stated that McCown will start at QB at the beginning of the season. They like Culpepper but McCown is farther along and Culpepper still has a hitch in his step they said.

Then on JR, they said that the sticking point is the guaranteed money, Pat said start taking money off the table and force him to get in. He said he is only making it harder on himself. Since we don't need him this year. He think he will sign shortly and be in camp.

Bush isn't ready and Echemandu is making a name for himself during camp. He isn't convinced they are ready to put Bush on PUP. Maybe IR down the road.

Porter looks terrific, and so does Curry. The said Porter would work all night, if they would let him. Curry turned the CB around a few times. Tim Ryan said line up Williams at TE but they do like what they are seeing out of him. They think that Higgins can be a Speed guy.

Sapp looks great, same weight when he was at the U. He has springs in his legs and can have a big year and is practicing Harder then anyone else. The only guy close would be Burgess.....

COMMERCIAL BREAK:

Sapp is first Guest, he said he lost some weight to keep up with the young guys.
Napa weather is great and helps him train more since he doesn't have the humidity like out east.

asked him about Gallery. He said that he told Gallery he is going against the best ever, so don't get discouraged.....LOL

asked him about last year.....he said there was no light at the end of the tunnel, the sytem didn't fit in here.

Said he never thought when Kiffin was with his old man at Bucs camp he would be working for him. But said that Kiffin took the pretties girl at One Buc and married her and ran off to Cali.

They spoke about Warren and Sands they like them each there against the run this year. They like Kelly at DE they think he can bounce between the two spots and they also think Moses isn't quite there yet.

Like the LB'ers here and can really make plays in coverage but they think they will be challenged more this year.

McCown is next and he said the offence fits him and his skills. They liked what they saw at Practice yest. He moves in the pocket and give some time for the lineman.
The offencive scheme gives him a chance to see the whole field with the flexiblity of moving the QB.
He said the Defence is fierce and competing against a top 5 Defence everyday makes them better this year.
Spoke about Al, he said the first time he met him he was telling Josh about stuff he did at the combine 5 years ago and the fact that Al knows all these details is amazing.
He said he is ready to get to the Detroit game.

Kirwan said if Josh lays a egg, they can and will bring in Culpepper.

Speaking on Miller. Said they he isn't the fastest guy in the world but is a good blocker and has some attitude behind him.

Speaking about how Gabriel is taking reps with the 3rds. Kirwan said he is on the fast track outta here. They believe some older name we have had on the roster won't be around when we get to Detroit.

Next Up D. Rhoades!!!
missed him.....

They are back on Live with Josh

They ask about Miller and Rhoades likes him alot.
He was asked about the Deep ball, and who he said Gab and Higgins, but Porter can also be that guy.
They asked him about Culpepper and he said Pep is coming along and will be fine soon.
They asked him about JR and how much he has missed.
He said just learning the system he will need at least two weeks.

Kiffin Live on the Radio......

AL Davis yelled at him for Jogging yesterday. He was staying away from the IV bag today trying to naturally turning the corner.

Wanted to dig into the Locker room and find out who needs to stay here and who needs to be gone, and some guys are now gone. Some others are still here and he said he is giving them a chance to prove themselves.

Like some things in the first game and wants to see less turnovers.
He then announced that they are Starting Walter this week and then bring in Culpepper, and Josh to clean up.
He wants to see how Walter and each of the QB's do in different situations.

He wants to find the best 53 no matter tthe guy, no matter of salary, 40 time, and history.
He is starting Rhoades and Jordon will get some time in the next game.
He said it is very important that Jordon plays and plays soon. He can see Fargas doing some good things and Echemandu has had a great camp and he said he was joking him and say "hey look at it this way right now you are the 3rd most productive RB in the league right now"

He wants production in all areas.

Gallery at LG is something he thinks that he will produce there and said he is working well there and works extremly hard. Like the competition at C with Newberry and Grove, no clear leader there. He thinks that Cornell can get to that second level (LB blocking).

Spoke about Ryan, and was thrilled they were able to keep him here. Said he is Dynamic indiviual. He said the players love Ryan and he said if Rob was to tell them to wear pink underwear they would wear pink underwear. I THINK I LOVE these two RYAN & KIFFIN

Love to have competition in camp and will move people around on the depth chart to make sure no one feels to safe, likes to have the D show the O everything in practice.

Asked him about AL and he said that he could not be more fortunate to have Al here, the amount of knowledge Al has is helpful and can't imagine another Owner knowning as much as Al does.

Nothing new on the JR front, same as it has been over the last few days, said he can't worry about that he needs to defend the team here in camp right.

One funny thing Kiffin said was about Gallery, "Sorry you drafted him as a left tackle, I wasn't here now he is a guard".........

GOD I LOVE MY JOB! I can't believe I get away with this kind of BS!

Kirk and Thomas joining.....
They ask them about the Offence, the O is upbeat and the tempo is alot quicker. Morrison said the WR are quick so get it to the WR and let them do something with the ball.
They said that Miller is like a young Todd Heap (love that) they said that he never drops balls in camp. If he does everyone notices....

The guys on the O feel like they know they can do something with the new system and everyone is feeling better and we can use the speed and quickness to do something special.

Thomas and D/ Rhoades play dominos every day and Rhoades like they Offence coming from Indy.

Morrison likes Gallery at the LG said once he grabs you it's hard to come off the block. Things that he will be very productive there.

when asked about J-Russ Morrison said No players are thinking about J-Russ. That is what bringing in Pep meant to a lot of people, hey no one is safe. Your job is on the line every day in practice. Kiffin isn't demanding respect from the guys, just telling the guys you compete and you will succeed. He has all the guys buying into the system they brought in. Kirk said that the coaches say to the players, if you do what we ask you will be rewarded and if you do this you will be our "Marvin Harrison or Reggie Bush, that type of guy".

Well Ladies and Fellas that is all from Camp, and now my fingers hurt.....guess I have to work some time today!

Thanks, jatfly! Interesting stuff, but I hate Pat Kirwan. Just sayin'.

One funny thing Kiffin said was about Gallery, "Sorry you drafted him as a left tackle, I wasn't here now he is a guard".........
That's not funny. That's depressing.

.

Hey Al, I think Lane is talking to you there... :p

It really seems like we have finally gotten this damn coach thing right... It sure feels like we have got some great chemistry right across the board for a change... Let's hope all these positives vibes translate to the field...
