I can't tell if Mendoza is uniquely marketable or if this is just what it's like to have the top QB rookie. The media is definitely Team Fernando though. He's got a little of the Payton Manning ham to his personality too.

He actually reminds me a lot of Luck. Just kind of a nerdy dude who also is a really fucking good QB.

Manning came to mind because Fernando clearly likes the attention. Not in a negative way but he seems to enjoy being in the spotlight. He's got face of the league potential, IMO. It actually surprised me how many endorsements he had lined up already but again, it's not like we have much to compare to.

Its nice that the kid has like 50 games played. If we get really lucky he could see the field soon.

Drafting/planning to play Crawford had more to do with Snowden’s release than Wilson’s trade (IMO). And it’s unlikely Crawford will play as well as Snowden did last year in his 315 snaps. But SpyGuy’s been burnt by a coach trying to win rather than trying to develop players in which the team is invested.
