Would anyone want to make a run at this guy? He's due to make it back into the NFL this year and his boy has since went on to the college game. Would Cameron welcome him back or does he see that Ronnie Brown is his guy and that he could get something for Williams? Maybe we could attempt to trade Randy Moss to the Fins for a late round pick and a Ricky Williams? I want Moss off the team bad...Ricky has problems of his own but everytime he's been on the field the guy runs hard and gives it 100%. Im thinking he wouldn't break the bank and we could offload our headache.

Any thoughts?

Hmm.. I dunno about Randy Moss for a late pick and Ricky Williams.

I meant to type mid-round pick...but none the less it was a thread that kind of would be a damned if you do or damned if you dont regarding Moss. The more I think about it, it will be hard to offload the guy and get something "really good" for the guy. And when putting on my Al Jump Suit and saw the reclamation projects that he tends to take on, Ricky kind of jumped out with the talks of the past of how he could see himself as a Raider.

Actually, your post kind of hit home with me because I've said repeatedly that there doesn't seem to be a top-tier "Ricky Williams" kind of player in this year's draft. So.. fuck! Why not go get.. Ricky Williams? The only thing is, for me, I wouldn't want to overpay for his services. When there's serious talk about the Moss to the Packers trade having us swap our #32 for their #16 which could be used on Marshawn Lynch.. then I expect a lot more in return for Moss than a mid-to-late round pick.

I'm ready to cut bait on Randy Moss regardless of compensation. I'd cut him without compensation rather then keep him. Whatever we get is gravy IMHO.

Ricky Williams? I'd take a flyer on him.

My feelings exactly.

This is where I get off. Gotta pass on "Two-Toke" Williams. Sticky Ricky is a circus. I'd just as soon unload the unmotivated guys, not bring more in.

I wouldn't trade one slacker for another, but if Williams is cut, then I'd bring him on a one year vet min contract to see if he has anything left to give. After the year, set up an incentive laden contract that has rebates galore if he violates the substance abuse policy for the third time.
