BTW, anyone else notice that Tommy Kelly was moved to Tyler Brayton's starting DE spot last week. I wonder if this is going to be a permanent move heading into 2007? I always thought Kelly should have remained at DE. He might not be a great DE, but he was solid and did collapse the pocket quite a bit last season which allowed Burgess to put up better numbers IMO.
Brayton plays hard, but come on, 0 sacks from a starting DE just won't cut it. Tommy Kelly could be a 4-6 sack guy at DE IMO and would also provide more "beef" along the line.
I will be interesting to see how the Raiders address the DE issue. Perhaps Burgess & Kelly are starters in 2007, with Huntley & Brayton as key back-ups?
If we could get a true NT that could absorb double teams, our D would be downright scary.
The Raiders will almost certainly draft a first day DT. Bank on it.
