All the black people this shit is about??... Fought the police when arrested... Even George Floyd... Man if the cops tell you to put your hands behind your back man just do it and fight that shit in court...George Floyd fought the police... Wouldnt get in the back of the police car....this is the shit that happens....
 
Obviously nobody watched the video. This protesting in Portland or anywhere else is not because "Black Lives Matter". It has devolved into a spectacle of vandalism and destruction by white kids. Peaceful march from 8:00 until 10:00 pm. Frozen water bottles, mortars, spray paint, broken windows, PVC pungi sticks and arson from 10:45 till 1:30 am; rinse, repeat.

Setting shit on fire and throwing shit at cops is doing alot to keep cops from killing Black folks isn't it.

Not sure of the full accuracy of it, but the mayor that got tear gassed by the Fed Militia said that the protests were winding down, less numbers, no violent/destructive acts.

This is the same mayor that was booed and shouted down the very same night by the very same folks he was gassed with. They shamed him into sticking around for when the fireworks began (because they knew it would).

This stopped being about civil rights weeks ago... it's sad.

Didn't know anything about the mayor beyond an interview clip after he was gassed. Hence my disclaimer of "not sure of the accuracy of it"

You're absolutely correct that this stopped being about civil rights long ago. I think after about 2 weeks, the people that were really interested in the actual protests felt that they made their message heard and moved on. Now, you have a lot of bored and unemployed people out there starting shit because they have nothing better to do and are doing it in the name of the cause. Black Lives DO Matter, but this stuff over the last month or so has nothing to do with it. Should the Feds be involved in preemptive arrests? No. Should all of these monuments be torn down? No. Should dialogues and policies for a better future be made? Yes.

I still stand by my claim that "going in and cracking skulls" as a certain someone wants will not help. The only thing that will keep happening is the flames will be fanned and more protests/retaliations/destruction will occur. Yes, these may be purple haired kids that never got smacked in the mouth, but if pushed hard enough, they will fight and people will die on a large scale. Trump supporters may have guns, but they're not the only ones. Most of those yee haws will kill themselves off in friendly fire if shit ever went down for real.

Stupid is as stupid does and both sides are stupid.
