Nice win. Beat the Champs. Probably knocked them out of the playoffs. Heh...fuck the Steelers.

Next up we can do the same for Seattle. That might be a tough thing to do in Seattle but I'll be there representing. I think the "bag" idea is now out the window. No need. We're going for three in a row.

Gameballs and teabags for tonights game go to...

Asomugha: Much maligned over the years, but this kid can tackle, cover and...Make plays on the ball finally. I've always backed him more than most, and its good to see him develop on a strong defense.

Kirk Morrison: This dude was everywhere. Two great pass coverage plays (Pick and endzone stop) and 9 solo's. 2 in the backfield. He was a catalyst to a great performance.

Burgess: 2.5 sacks and he was giving Starks headaches all day. He does what he does...

Carr and Lechler: We don't win this game without Lechlers Hall of Fame boot, or Carr's quality returns, IMO. Props to them.

Honorable mention to Sands, Sapp, Kelly and the ENTIRE D. (Fabs/Howard/Safeties/Thomas etc.)

I couldnt point out a bad player on D today.

Teabags:

Offensive line: All of them were punked today. Very sad performance all year long. Depressing really.

That is all for now...A good win.

I'll add Turdell Sands, Tyler Brayton & Stuart Schwiegert to the gameballs list.

Teabags?

Along with the O-line, I'll throw in Andrew Walter and Courtney Anderson. Both players licked the teabag today. Both of them.

Oh, Let's give Randy Moss a double-tea bag as well.

Offense was horrific. Not a single bright spot other than FINALLY seeing 84 on the field.

Great win though, exciting game, defense was lights-out, Lechler was our biggest weapon. Burgess was an animal, Sapp showed up big, Thomas showed up big on the goaline stand, secondary was awesome. Great win.

^^

Agreed.

Walter made me pine for taking Brady Quinn this year.

Yes, I know, Im the only guy who wants him on the Raiders. SO sue me.

Yeah, Moss is an upsetting little shit. The line still blows.

We stole one. Love it. Love to see the Steelers eat shit.

Doesn't it make it double sweet that we were going 0-16 two weeks ago and now we beat the World Champs and more than likely knocked them out of the playoffs? Heh. Life is good.

``How'd the Raiders do yesterday"? Oh you didn't watch us beat the World Champs...shame on you asshole. I can't wait for the first Hags fan to shoot me that line tomorrow. They're next! :D

My attitude about Walter is:

Which receivers did he miss today? What's the complaint? That he wasn't avoiding the rush?

When he released the ball, I was generally happy with where it went.

That was Aso's defining moment as a pro IMO. I'll admit, I'm really coming around to him. Made some real nice sticks today. Our secondary is nails. Morrison and Burgess were solid as usual. Not much you can fault the defense on tday.

Teabags to the OL, Courtney, Moss and Tom Walsh for an inventive game plan.

This win made me think of the line from Major League where he talks about all the journalists picking them to finish dead last and saying they would be better off if they all went out and shot themselves:

"Me, I am all for wasting sportswriters time. So I'd like to hang around and see if we can give em all a nice big shitburger to eat"

See there, we agree on something. Fuck the squeelers. Fuck them.

I don't diagree with much of this.

I think the poor (terrible) play of our OL is the main culprit. If Walter had the kind of OL that Rich Gannon had we're be 5-1. JMO. The guy seems to have poise (and pride), has pretty good pocket presence and has a big arm. He's going to make a few rookie mistakes. Gannon had like 10 years experience by the time he showed up in Oakland. What we can do to fix this OL is beyond me. That has to be Job 1.

The offensive line did him no favors, but that pass attempt to Chad Slaughter was horrifically stupid and that non-connection with Anderson in the deep seem was very bad, the INT into triple coverage in the 4th QTR.

That non-connection to Anderson was Courtney's fault judging from Walter's reaction and Gannon's comments. The kid has made his share of mistakes but he's been snake bitten with dropped passes and no OL protection.

People have yet to realize that young QB's will never be able to lead there team right away. Not to mention Walter got dumped into a clusterfuck offense with an average running game, the worst offensive line in the league by a large margin, and wide receivers who just dont give a fuck.

Raider4life, your giving excuses for Walsh and blame Walter? Weak.

This defense gives me mahagony.

When's the last time we won on the road?

True that.

He hasn't had a good game yet, really.

However, we were told that Tui was the guy for a long time, and a lot of fans, myself included, wanted to give him a shot.

Walter has already looked better than Tui ever has, and has only been getting starter reps in practice for about a month. He's already better at feeling the rush than Brooks (or Collins was), and I've been impressed by his touch. Basically, I think he's shown enough. Enough to think that maybe the staff knew something when they drafted him, and passed on Leinart.

When he drops back, and gets buried, I don't blame him for taking a sack. When he drops back, scans, scans, then gets sacked, then, yeah, I'll blame him.

Funny thing is, if Anderson was worth the steam off my shit, or Moss gave a damn, it woulda been a blowout. With Fargas as our best back.

Man, this defense is promising. Can you imagine if they had a lead? Or a break occasionally?

I thought Walter had the Collins/Brooks 'Deer in headlights, im gonna get creamed' look a bit today.

He has potential, but he sucked today. He should have nailed Courtney on the seam route, btw.

ON a side note: A few of us are trolling the gen. forum of KFFL now, and its funny if anyone is watching, lol. 'Raider bandwagon' funny stuff. I actually think some may believe we are serious about the 'Super bowl run'

:)

I'm thinking about poking Cubby with a stick, but he at least had the guts to show up.

True enough, Walter is not the primary problem, but he did have a bad game today. That's all I'm saying.

I'm NOT saying that we should return to Brooks however, let me make that clear before some Mensa reject ascribes that opinion to me.
