-- Raiders Likely to Ditch Jordan Next March --
Mon Nov 5, 2007 --from FFMastermind.com
ESPN's John Clayton reports the benching of RB LaMont Jordan by the Oakland Raiders tells you Jordan is probably going to be released or traded next March.

Thats the worst speculation by a so called expert ever. He gave an opinion we all coulda drew up. Nothing special at all with no inside track.

Next year with Bush up to 110%, Fargas, Rhoades and Jordon’s' salary & injuries. We should maybe dump him....

There are a few people they may see the door next year.....
Sapp (I don't want that to happen but it may come to pass)
Sands (what a waste of a deal)
Porter (WTF he is a major disappointment this year)
Stu (I would keep him for a back up)
Sims (HE is done)
Culpepper (he is gone no matter what)
Newberry (last legs for real)

and there will be others!!!!!!!!!!!

We've been speculating Jordan's release sine last year. Nice of Clayton to join us. Better late than never, right?

I would not expect them to wait until the end of the season. I say when Bush is ready to play, Jordan is gonzo.

Jordan's apparently not taking getting benched very well (who would, though). It was reported on the radio that he had some choice words to reporters about the coaching staff and then stated something along the lines of "anymore questions about me need to be directed at Kiffin". Seeing him pissed makes me happy for some reason.

Not me, to his credit when he is mad, it means we are losing. :o getting benched and winning? not even jordan can throw a fit.

Bah... Jordan's a drama queen. If he cared about winning, he'd read a playbook and pass on desert once in a while. He's really pissed about losing potential FA $$$.

Jordan should watch his own gamefilm. I mean, it is full of 3 inch runs. I mean, I'd be pissed to if I was benched with that kind of production. Shit, I'd be asking for a pay raise.

WTF Jordan?? When you suck, you suck!! BUH BYE!!

He's the one guy on the team that I expected to complain. Maybe you should play better then Fargas and he won't get more carries than you? What a concept.

Maybe he should get his playing weight right before getting angry. RB's arent suppose to be fat and slow.

Jordan can hit the bricks for all i care

run out Fargas and Bush and mix in Rhodes on 3rd downs, just to see what we have to work with

at least we'll know whether we are set at RB, or if we need to address the position over the offseason

either way, Jordan's been given his chances year after year and hasnt really produced anything other than a good fantasy football season

I like the idea of taking a RB on Day 2 most every year. I figure is this scheme can make Huggy look good, we can take some late round cats and start rebuilding that depth we used to have back in the Gruden days. Denver did it for years with, basically, this same scheme.

I agree. What are we like 4th or 5th in the NFL in rushing with this unit and this OL? That's without seeing what Bush can do. It would be hard to pass on McFadden but we really have more pressing needs on both the DL and OL.

I think if you get a shot a superstar playmaker to match with JR you do it. Imagine all the pressure it would take of JR having another highly touted guy to work with. It wouldnt be on just his shoulders. That is why McFadden is #1 on my Raider wishlist. I would also love Dorsey or Jake/Chris Long. But McFadden would keep defense's honest and give JR yet another great short yardage target.

QB - JaMarcus Russell
FB- J.Griffith , O'Neil
HB - McFadden, Bush , Fargas
Wr - Porter, Curry, JLH, Manningham/Doucet/Sweed (or any2nd round wr)
TE - Miller and Madsen

Then you go dump money on the best OL available in FA. We cant keep drafting young guys and hoping they turn everything around. We need someone established in the NFL.

P.S- I wouldnt be shocked iif we kept Porter. He isnt going to make anymore money so he wont opt out. Dont know if you cut guys from an already thin WR core... it will most liekly depend on how the rest of the year pans out. JaMarcus might have great chemistry with Porter. You never know.

I had previously brought up the fact that we have to sign at least two starting calibre FA OL this offseason. Even the additions of Carlisle and Newberry have helped us a lot. Get a Ryan Lilja maybe a Jordan Gross or the OT from Seattle in here. Use our second day draft to add some more OL depth but I agree about drafting OL high. Gallery and Grove were going to be the foundations of this team. Man we certainly whiffed on them as well as Mcnasty. Just hope that what we saw in Mario Henderson comes to fruition.

Chad Johnson, Curry and Porter, I could live with that:p

Now your talking. Gross would be a great pick up. If we cant swing Chad Johnson for a 2nd, J.Porter and Fabian Washington we could draft one or look to Bernard Berrian.

...or the OT from Seattle in here.
You're talking about Sean Locklear...well have you noticed how well Seattle is running the ball these days?

Ever since they let Hutchinson go they can't grab their ass with both hands. :bugeye:

The FA acquisition route is a good idea but I'm not sure if it's that easy. The guys we picked up this last off season weren't exactly being sought after players. They have helped some yes -- that just tells you how pitiful the Raiders OL was last season.

Jerry Porter? I think it's time to part company. I'm hearing more & more whispers about his 'attitude' these days. Cut bait.

I'd much rather build the team around guys like Asomugha and I'm glad to see that Lane Kiffin is already signalling his intentions.

Porter, Jordan, and a few others will be gone in a couple of month....

I agree about Porter. Cya dude. This cat just isn't the real deal. He had a few games where he opened some eyes only to fail to show up the next 2-3 games in a row. Last year was a disaster. This year he just seems like he's going through the motions. He's not causing waves but he isn't doing anything to distinguish himself as anything but a #3 WR in this league. A change of scenery would do both parties some good. Thanks for the memories JP...fuck you.
