We have discussed a million options for the #1 spot. Lets just assume we draft a QB and dont trade Moss and he is on the team next season: Which seems like the most logical thing to happen from factual evidence.(Kiffin saying he expects him to be on the team, and no QB's signed yet)
No Trades.

1. JaMarcus Russell or Brady Quinn

Round two pick #33
There should be alot of good offensive lineman here:

Sears- could play guard or tackle and is considered a first rounder by many. Instant starter

Grubbs- a perfict fit at G in the zone and another guy slipping due to position not skill. Instant starter

Blaylock- Mauler who could get our run game going. Fast for a big guy can play Tackle or Guard. Instant starter

Joe Staley- If he slipped we would have to grab him. 6'6 and very agile. Perfict fit at L or R tackle. A bit of a project but huge upside in the zone scheme.Project starter

Ryan Khalil- Obviously knows Kiffins system. Reminds me of Grove. Too much for me to give up on Grove since we might have Newberry. But would also be a strong pick because he could play guard. Instant Starter

Tony Ugoh- A bit of stretch this early but has a very nie upside as well. We need o-line depth and possible starters. Project starter

Tight ends: Z.Miller- could be a stud like Todd Heap. He didnt put up great #'s but we have showed interest in him and he fills a need. Courtney Anderson makes too much money 1.5 mill!

Wr's- This is only an option because some talent might fall and be hard to pass up, S.Rice, Meachum, Bowe, Jarrett, Ginn, S.Smith, J.HIll, C.Davis.. alot of good future WR's

Defensive options:

Merriweather / Nelson- Playmaking FS, i dont see the staff giving up on Stu , but this guy could be good

Defensive ends- Jarvis Moss, C.Johnson, Woodley, Albaimiri, Q.Moses, Spencer, We could use some help for braytons weak play.

DT's- Tank Tyler- Strong run stopper. Justin Harrell- Often hurt but shows great potential at 6'4 320

OUTSIDE SHOTS-

Brian Leonard- not a need but he would fit perfectly with Kiffins offense.

Paul Posz, Timmons, Beason D.Harris, B.Davis,- OLB could use an upgrade of these guys would be interesting.

M. Lynch- If he slipped we would take him, wont happen but you never know, he is kinda thuggish 4.5 40 not spectacular.

D.Stanton- If we dont go QB in round one and go CJ or AD.

If i had to choose one guy i would take Grubbs. He seems like a perfect fit. 2nd choice J.Staley

LT . R.Gallery/Slaughter/Simms
LG. Grubbs/B.Simms/Husley
C.Grove/Newberry
RG. Boothe/Badger
RT. McQuistan/Simms/Slaughter

or

LG- Blaylock/Sears

If Gallery does win the LT spot (I think he will) I would LOVE to get Aaron Sears at 33.

The dude is a prototype RT, IMO.

ive got 3 guys that "could" fall to our 2nd rounder that are auto picks...

Joe Staley
Greg Olsen
Marshawn Lynch

I wouldn't be surprised to see Branch drop out of the first after his less than stellar workouts. Several of the analysts have him labeled as a boom or bust player.

I don't think there's any way that Lynch or Greg Olsen drop out of the first. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Ted Ginn in a Raider uni next season. I really hope we draft an OL with our 2nd rounder but it will probably be used on a skill position guy.

Agreed, Turk.

I would even love to see us trade UP if Lynch/Olsen/Ginn started slipping into the late twenties, IMO.

Trade 33, a third (We have two) and a future pick to ensure we get a guy like that.

My choice would be to trade back into the first round for Meshawn Lynch. I just think this cat is gonna be the goods and we can use a good running back in this division. He's got "Raidah" written all over him.

Branch is alot better than Ngata who many people said was going to drop for many of the same reasons... 330 pound players that can hold the point against the run the way Branch can just arent going to slip because of one offseason, no pads drill with Tim Krumrie IMO... Then again, OT's that can move the way Marcus McNeil can aren't supposed to drop either so you never know... I don't think there's any way a coach like Mike Nolan passes on him if he makes it to 11, but I'd love for the guy to slip close enough to 33 for us to make a move on... Of course, the way D studs seem to slip to them, I'm half way expecting him to end up with the Ravens...

Of all the "first round locks", I think Lynch has the best chance of slipping to us... Supply and demand mixed with enough background and health concerns....

I know I'm in the minority, but I'd absolutely love Ginn at 33... He's basically a work in progress as he's been a WR for only just over two years, but I love what he can do after the catch and in the return game... I'd almost like to see the Saints grab him just to see he and Reggie Bush playing in the same offense...

Alas, the logical side of me says we should run to the podium and grab Ben Grubbs or Justin Blaylock if they are available...

Alama Francis has officially locked down my 33 spot...

When the fuck is the Little Al gonna be going!?

;)

Im gonna smokescreen the hell outta you bitches.

I don't think Branch falls out. And if Ginn runs well on the 12th, I don't think he will either.

Branch may have had a crappy postseason, but his play on the field hasn't really been brough in to question.

I agree with HBoy, I think Lynch has the best chance to slip.

But doesn't matter, we're gonna trade back up into the first.

Im hoping we dump Moss prior to the draft (Although Im 99% certain he's a Raider next season)

It'd be nice to get a third rounder and have:

1
2
3
3 (Moss)
3 (Comp)
4
5
5 (Gabriel)
6
7
7

On draft day that would give us flexibility to move up and down, pegging the players we like and dealing from a position of strength for a change.

If we traded a second, third and a fifth to get to the mid first round (Meachem, Bowe, Lynch, Olsen etc.) we'd still have back to back picks in rounds 3-4 and whatever we got for Moss...

I'd love to see it happen.

Marshawn Lynch wouldn't break my heart if he were to fall to us in the second or in a trade up scenario although I think that Al would pull the trigger on Ginn if he had the choice. I'm thinking skill position guys with our first two picks, QB-WR/RB
