Raiders in Mock Draft

Hard to tell without seeing the whole draft, but so far my only question would be that Koets on top of Sears is a bit of overkill... I think they're both RT prospects in this scheme... Bush is definitley a risk/reward thing and I would have preferred Marshawn at 2 as well, but redshirting Bush a year may pay big benefits long term...

You're definitely on the right track as far as adding coachable, high effort type players and I like the way the Moss trade is structured....

I take it you're very confident in Walter developing as our QB?...

The thought behind adding Trent Green was that the calm of Green combined with the fire of Walter could provide a desirable future product there.

Still, that's a hell of a risk at quarterback, Knight, and I honestly think that Green is done. I, too, would have been pissed off at passing on Lynch there.

Would it be easier if I copied and pasted the text from the thread instead of linking it?

As a Cal football season ticket holder's son, I fully understand the misstep of the Lynch debacle. Fully. However, I had to move on..... and I was happy to have Bush at 3.1., because his attitude makes me feel safer with coming back from injury, and that demeaner combined with his physical tools is what we need. Our current backs will allow us to at least survive if we need to "redshirt" (as HB said) Bush for a year. Helluva risk at QB? As opposed to starting Quinn or Russell?

I admit to trying to stockpile athletic O-lineman that fit the new system, but I also targeted guys that are versitle enough to move around. I think with the collection of guys we have now (with these picks) we can find a combination that fits to fix the O-line..... my number 1 priority.

Also, I think Green would be worth the late 5th just to coach Walter.

What do you guys think about the defensive players added, and the positions addressed?

You got his first name jacked up, but great pick... one of my favorite players in the draft...

I was going by Scouts Inc., who apparently adjusted his name to better fit their paradigm.

So many more people, yet the same amount of feedback as the now-empty KFFL Raiders forum.

Post the whole thing man, not just a link.

Let us analyze it straight up in here...

(Even though I already have)

I'll give you my feedback:

I cant argue with pick one. He's the best player...Who will throw him the ball is another question though.

Sears is a great pick, but you whiffed on missing Marshawn Lynch and quickly tried to recover with Mike Bush. Not bad.

Alford seems like a reach to me. Especially with Aundrae Allison, Piscatelli, Baraka Atkins and Turk McBride on the board.

Spaeth is a good all around TE, but I like Boss, Chandler and Newton's upside more.

I like the Koets pick, although I don't know if we'll draft 2 lineman in the first 100 picks or so...

Marvin White: Not bad, but guys like Desmond Bishop, Kevin Boss, Mike Allan and Jacob Bender seem like better fits and bigger needs.

I LOVE Xzavie Jackson to start off round six.

Solid B so far, although the lack of any future QB is alarming. Trent Green? C'mon...

You addressed most of our needs, except for a young QB, IMO.

1-1: Calvin Johnson
2-1: Aaron Sears
3-1: Michael Bush

Sorry but I didn't find either J-Marc or Quinn to be franchise calibur, just places to throw away a great deal of money.
