Punching it in

I dont know about the rest of you cats, but to me, we just blew on the goal line last 2 years, we left alot of points off the board because we just couldnt punch it in the last 2 years

This is the area I'd like to see the most improvement on in regards to our offense this pre-season and regular season

One thing I kinda miss?

RB's that leap over the goal line ala Marcus Allen style.. Man I love that shit... I love watching Sporstcenter sunday night and catching a nugget highlight like that from any team...

If we cant go around it, or through it.. why not go over it?

I'm courious to see what approach we take this year under the new coaching staff as to how we gameplan on the goal line.

I love those leaps too.

Last offseason, we had big Joe Hall and I thought this would be fun to see. He did some good things in preseason but didn't stick. I would like to see us ram it in for it's de-moralizing effects on defenses and give our OL a little more confidence.

The way lasy year went, as long as we're punching that clock consistently, I'm not particular how we cross the goalline...


We had it real good in 2000-2001 when we had the option of Ritchie leading Crockett, hitting Brown, Rison(gag) or Rice or running that sweet naked bootleg with Gannon... Until guys like Porter, Miller, BMW, Madsen, Bush etc step up, I think running the ball with Crockett or throwing to Curry are the best current options... If McCown starts, he could be real effective rolling out with a run/pass option maybe with Miller matched up on a LB...
