I don't know if this thread will work, because I don't know if anyone really pays enough attention to what specific other posters are saying, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway.

This is a thread for people to give props to other posters who rode a guy or topic hard, and turned out to be right on the money.

I'll start.

Props to CROW for his Elvis Dumervil jihad. I remember this particular jihad because Crow was the person who first got me to notice what Dumervil was doing at Louisville, and it eventually led to me drafting him in my EFSports fantasy league (53-man rosters; salary cap; etc.).

Well, Dumervil not only had 8.5 sacks as a rookie, but he's got four already this year, plus an interception and a forced fumble.

Dumervil is a guy who slipped in the draft for no good reason other than his height, but with only 2 inches more, Dwight Freeney was picked 11th overall his year.

If we had Dumervil on our team, we wouldn't be bitching about not blitzing.

I'm just happy HB chucked the Joan Rivers avatar

I remember HBoy early on talking about this guy Troy Pomalongadingdong that plays S. Saying he was going to be sorta good.

And I told you knuckleheads to bet the ranch on the under on the KC-CHi game last week. (pats self on shoulder):p

People pay big money for my handicapping services. I'm willing to offer you my play of the week for free. Stay tuned.

Back on topic, we can't seem to be able to draft DE's can we?:shakehead: If King Carl doesn't franchise Jared Allen, we really need to take a run at him. The 2008 draft and the 2008 FA crop isn't looking all that strong for DL.

I'd spend the farm on Allen, franchised or not!! Dude is as consistant a player as there is, comes from a division foe and has been clean and sober since his dui that got him suspended. I'd give up a couple of picks for that!!

Yeah, I'd love to get Allen on board too.

Just don't tell those chef fan Mo-Mo's.

F- that. I'd surely take him. But not for all that in a million years. And it hasnt been THAT long since his last DUI. If we were investing super money into Rhodes, i'd be worried about him being a raider too. Habits that get you suspended are always an asterisk imo.

I'll go with the easy to remember one:

HB and his Marcus McNeil jihad.

The dude loved the guy, pushed for us to draft him, cried when San Diego did, and now weeps every night at the guying potentially being a franchise left tackle.

Wasn't there a major jihad by Raider Bill for Shawne Merriman?

Yeah I think we were reminded that after the pick we gave up for Moss:p

Crusher did everything but propose marriage to Larry Fitz... While we're on the subject of Ringheadcutoffthreeofmyfingerswithapowertool, from what I've seen of Matt Shaub so far this year, he would have been a good fit for what Kiff is doing....

Stepper was on Nnamdi way before we picked him... and he was right about Khalif Barnes as well... and his trade back and take Stephen Jackson plan is looking pretty sweet now...

I think Lord Kadghar is manning a fighter plane somewhere these days, but he was right about Reggie Wayne who I was very meh about drafting...

Jack was dead on with Darnell Dockett.... Natty had Kevin Williams very early on as well...

Someone suggested we should get some young bloke from USC to be our offensive co-ordinator, can't remember who it was now though.

Natty had Kevin Williams very early on as well...

Hell, I even forgot about that one... my most memorable recent jihad that turned out well was Kirk Morrison. Been on that guy since the close of the '05 Li'l Al contest.

Oh, and I had major wood for John Henderson.

I must shoot myself in the head for thinking Ashlie Lelie was the next Randy Moss.

Big ups to ME!! I have been telling anyone who will listen that Harington is'nt as bad a QB as everyone thinks. Well, it looks as iff Petrino has coached him up pretty well, his last 2 games have been killer and I'll bet he gets even better as time goes on! Especially with Fat Albert breathing down his freakin neck!

Harrington is still a backup/solid number 2.

If he really was any good, they wouldnt have signed Left to a 3yr deal, IMO.

I think Petrino's system allows QB's to make quick and easy decisions to short and moderate targets, while completing at a high percentage. That's Joeys specialty. I mean, Dunn-Crumpler and Norwood have the majority of the receptions...

They are still 1-3, and IMO the front runners to be drafting Brohm-Woodson in about 8 months.

Nothing beats Limee calling our selection of Cody freakin' Spencer in my book... especially considering the guy lives on the other side of the pond, drives on the other side of the road, and has an accent that suggests that he bats for the other team.

Good for you, tosser!

Damn, that was MEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!:pound:

I remembered two:

Crow was always saying Michael Boley was worthy of a flier late in the draft, and the dude is definitely showing NFL skills and athleticism.

RaiderBill was all over Justin Tuck, and he's turned out to be very disruptive and versatile (Played end and tackle for the G-men). I fully assume he'd be a starter on most other teams in the league. (Tough to get PT behind Osi, Strahan and Kiwanuka.)
