PICK 6 2025 NFL Draft

If we're going non-QBs for 1.6 I'm probably leaning...

1) Abdul Carter -- Get a freak pass rusher across from Maxx. Re-sign Koonce and Chaisson too. Tyree is depth at best. Admittedly taking an edge top 10 again scares me though after Clelin and Tyree. Carter can bend the edge at an elite level and is stronger than you'd think for his build. He could still gain a few lbs and not lose any explosiveness.

2) Will Johnson -- It'd be great value at 1.6 and he's a stud CB. Love his playmaking ability. Kid is smooth as silk.

3) Mason Graham -- Keep building the DL. Maxx, Wilkins, Graham, and Koonce would be a fun starting lineup.

4) Tet McMillan -- The more I watch him the more I think he's going to be a good one. He's 6'5, a really good route runner, has bear paws for hands, and is pretty good after the catch especially for a bigger receiver. He's like a better version of Michael Pittman and would add another weapon to Bowers and Meyers for whenever we do land a QB.

5) Travis Hunter -- So I'm sure I'm in the minority here but I'm just not in love with Hunter. He's a hell of a talent and his ability to play both sides of the ball are crazy. But I still don't know if he's really going to be overly impressive on either side of the ball and that worries me.

6) Kelvin Banks -- He'd be a boring pick in the top 10, likely a guard for us. I like him more than I like Will Campbell.

7) Ashton Jeanty -- Stud RB but it'd be a luxury pick for us and this class is super deep. Just can't see us taking him but he is a damn good player.

That is a solid list. I'd flip Johnson and McMillan only because I think we need a WR as teams game plan more around Bowers. My issue with Hunter is where do you play him? If he's playing primarily one position, is he really a better corner than Johnson, or a better WR than McMillan?

Will Johnson or Mason Graham please

You know Telesco is all over this guy.

Come draft day I am going to assume this list removes 3 and adds 2 more names to it. Come to think of it maybe in mid March.

I guess 6’5 with a wingspan will come in handy when O’Connell does his backpedal 10 yards and then throw the ball up for grabs off his back foot move though.
I think you mean Zach Wilson, Mac Jones or Daniel Jones…

Loser: Las Vegas Raiders :raiderbag:

Late in the season, the Las Vegas Raiders were in the conversation for the No. 1 overall pick, but they won back-to-back games against the Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints, which knocked them down to the eighth spot.

Following a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, they moved up to the No. 6 slot.

Last year, the Raiders missed out on the first-round quarterbacks. The Denver Broncos selected Bo Nix one spot ahead of them. As a result, Las Vegas went into the 2024 campaign with Gardner Minshew II and Aidan O'Connell as its top two signal-callers.

With the sixth pick in a weaker QB class, the Raiders will likely miss out on the top quarterback prospects again.

The Tennessee Titans and New York Giants are likely landing spots for Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, and most draft analysts don't see another quarterback in the class worth a first-round pick.

For now, O'Connell and Minshew are the top two quarterbacks on the Raiders roster.

Minshew struggled mightily in his first year with the Raiders. O'Connell has made moderate strides in two years, but he's a low-level starter with limited pocket mobility, which will cap the potential of the Raiders offense.

General manager Tom Telesco should look to draft a quarterback on Day 2 if neither Cam Ward nor Shedeur Sanders is available, though it may take that rookie a year or two to see the field.

Double edge sword.

If QB needy teams pass on Sanders and he drops to #6, what does that say about Sanders?

It's like the last chick hanging out at the bar.

"Well, she's still here. And she's a female...I think..."
Lol!
