OTA’s 2026/Mini Camp

I honestly expect to win about 4 games this year, including a 1-8 start… but around Thanksgiving, I expect Mendoza to be ready and get into the games… I expect to go around 3-3 in our last 6, scoring about 24 PPG.

I’m not hating. The team has basically gotten about 2/3 of its on field decisions wrong since they fired Bisaccia ( not saying he was the answer)…

The bad decisions stop now but the dig out is harder than burying a football.

Let Cousins play while the young guys get reps. It’s gonna work, but not this season.
1-8 start doesn't seem far-fetched..... but I don't see how this team finishes strong after that kind of a start.
- we could cave and trade Crosby by then.
- historically a lot of the OLine here mails it in after that kind of a start. Not good for a rookie QB.
- We finish against the Seahawks, 49ers, and the entire AFC West. Browns and Titans are in there, maybe we split that... seems like a 1-8 finish.

I still think we're on our way to back to back #1 picks (which is a good thing imo). I've yet to see, hear, or read anything that gives me any confidence we're turning anything around this season.... exact same sense I had last offseason once I saw Pete was redshirting almost all the rookies for no reason.

Stukes his senior year played 60% of his snaps at slot CB with nearly all the rest at rover/strong safety, with either G. Smith or D. Johnson playing free safety. In terms of difficulty, slot CB reportedly is harder to play than free safety, which reportedly is harder to play than rover/strong safety. Stukes excelled in coverage (34.4 passer rating; 90.4 coverage grade).

Kyle Hamilton played over 40% of his snaps at slot CB and over 50% at free safety in college. He, too, excelled in coverage (42.3 passing rating; 88.4 coverage grade). While I would have liked to see Stukes play more free safety in college, with his smarts, work ethic, elite speed (4.33), vertical (38”), arm length (32.75”) and overall RAS (9.95), I assume Stukes would haves excelled in coverage there too.

T. Johnson, Chinn and Stukes sure seems like a huge upgrade in coverage compared to last year’s trio. Give me McCoy opposite Stokes, a healthy Maxx, Dean, Walker, Paye and Koonce playing well, and Porter and D. Johnson as secondary depth, GTFOOH with 1-8. Just might need one of the Bergs to step up.

If Crawford can play, this is the Maxx Scenario

2-if true, we’ll own the 2027 draft

Crawford needs at least a year to develop, at least that was the reason given as to why he dropped to the 3rd. I wonder if both Maxx and Koonce are possible trade candidates if they stay relatively healthy and play well.

Right now Maxx is the only real pass rusher we have so I don't see Koonce being on the block... Maxx only would be I think if we really struggle and teams come calling with strong offers.

So is Dean injured or what? Seemed like Kubiak inferred as much.

Breakout season from the Bergs incoming.
Raiders had cornered the market on active rostered Bergs. But SpyGuy did not draft Jordan van den Berg. :(

Well last year at this time the forum was rocking with hope over Pete and Geno and look at how that turned out.
This year we have Cousins and Kubiak and first pick of the draft predictions.

I have never seen a team that either drafts or signs FA's that has so many players that come to camp already injured.
