Couple days (26th) ago i got home and i kissed my girlfriend hello then called for my cat.
I called and called and he didnt pop out. Finally I started searching for him. Looking high and low and nothing. He's normally pretty noisy when i get home (glad to see me and whatnot). No cat. I'm a little stumped (hes an indoor cat and we live in an apartment building). Its pooring outside but I'm worried he went out on the balcony and fell off. So I'm out in the pooring rain for an hour and a half calling for him. Girlfriend has gone to sleep at this point(she wakes up quite early). No cat. I'm quite worried at this point.
We have another cat (female) whos much more of an indoor cat (she is afraid of the outer world). Shes been much more affectionate while hes gone and even comes to sleep in our room (normally closed off).
Next day I make a sign with some pictures of the cat and post it in my apartment. Search some more outside. Search the inside. Afraid the cat might have gotten into this hole by the fridge/kitchen counter that goes into the counter and into the wall. Search the walls for cat noises. No cat.
Thursday I'm off work and call around to the vet hospitals and animal shelters around. nothing that looks like my cat.
finally today my gf calls me at work. says the neighbors have seen him hiding out at the other end of the apartment building on the stairs. but only once.
GF goes prowling around with one of his fave toys and finds him sleeping on a stair. Very hungry and somewhat scared even of her. Now heres kind of the strange part. When he gets back in the apartment our other cat who has never had a problem with him before is freaking out every time she sees him. Attacks him and just yowls at him. I've never seen a cat react to another animal that they know like this. Its definately my cat but shes becoming a pest.
Now my GF is mad at me as well. We argue about my cat because although she missed him shes been mad at him off and on for a while now and said that while he was gone she was happier then shed been in a while. Her biggest problem with him is he sometimes has a urinating problem. Most often its 1 time every couple of weeks and hes been getting better (we need to get him fixed). Now the whole thing with the other cat has her in a huff (this was within the first 10 minutes of me getting home). I missed this cat like crazy while he was gone and I'm 90% sure the urinating problem will go away when hes fixed (hes not yet a year old). No real need for advice here I'm just venting.
