I had to get one last camping trip in since I knew it was gonna get down to freezing, probably the last time before summer, so I headed to the woods. I know you New Englanders were getting pounded so I thought I'd bring you some cheer. Just got back and thought I'd share some pics

This is the lounge area. If you notice the beer tiddy on the cooler, it was the 6th course in what ended up being about a twelve course breakfast.

There is an old saying about how white man builds a big fire for the world to see and an indian builds a small fire and sits close...My Irish beats out my cherokee everytime.

Now I got to work on my menu for the draft. I'm thinking beef brisket in the WSM and ribs on the offset. All the rest of the dry humps in attendance can bring the sides, or not.

The land of the nine fingered people?

Where's the canoe?...

No canoeing on that creek unless you're a fan of portaging. The caddo and the little missouri aren't but a few miles away though

I'm gonna make you squeal like a pig... Whheeeewhheee!

Looks real peaceful there... looks like the weather cooperated... and damn those sausages look good... My wife doesn't let me eat that stuff...

Head on out to Camp Arkie, hawaiianboy. You know he'll let you chow down on the sausage.

My family has been in the Arkansas and Missouri Ozarks for hundreds of years. Looks beautiful, but I've never been.

Looks like a good place to dump a body

"The Blair Ark Project"

wow that is a lot of beer cans.......

Did you do any fishing? First Day of Trout season was this weekend and I got Rained out. Lots of flooding here in western PA.

My favortie camp fire food is breakfast, Chorizo Cheese, and scrambled eggs in a tortilla shell. Easy to eat no plates needed........

If you think that's alot of beer cans, I should have taken a picture the next morning.

I always pack out all my trash and try to leave the place better than when I got there. I didn't do any fishing this trip although there is plenty of trout around there.

Easy eats in the woods is always the way to go for me as well. Those sausages ended up with cheese melted on english muffins.

I'll post some pics of the brisket and ribs from the draft when I pull them off.

Yeah that sounds like something advertised in the back of Soldier of Fortune magazine... I like Arkie and everything, but I'm too pretty a man to walk into the backwoods with the guy packing that much booze and that big a knife...

How many times can one guy apologize geez...

It looks like you and your life partner had a great time.

;)

Makes my stomach hurt to look at it

The pits of hell called.
They want their avatar back.
For the love of god - make it go away.

Pretty comforting thought to know that Arkie and his banjo playing cronies are camping at the same time my son is currently hiking the Appalachian Trail.:p
