In the end it probably won't matter much anyway. Dubs just don't have a very good roster. Aging roster with no real foundational young players. The West has gotten so much stronger. San Antonio is going to be relevant again. Denver, OKC, Houston, Lakers aren't going anywhere. Dubs probably looking at another play in scenario.
 
JK is butthurt because we didn't play him in that Houston series. Thinks he won't be in the plans when the playoffs start.
Hope we trade him for something decent...

Oct. 1st is the deadline. I’m not sure about the cap space part. I do know if he doesn’t sign then we retain his rights until he completes his QO year.

So Dubs offered him a 2yr $45mm deal which he turned down because he doesn't like the no trade option built in to it. I thought he hated it here?

So apparently Lacob has come out and said they're not trading Kuminga.

It's either sign the deal or play on the QO.

He's getting bad advice from his agent. This was not a very good offseason for FA's, especially ones that are way overestimating their talent.. I can't see him signing the QO. Kid is stubborn and they don't like the 3 year deal that GS put on the table because of the team option. I could see him just sitting out the season.

If sitting out means he's not getting paid I find that highly doubtful.

I don’t think he will play for the $7.9 mm QO. Most likely the 3 year deal that’s on the table if he does play.
 
He's not sitting out. He needs to play well next year to be in position to get a decent contract the following year.

I still think he eventually signs the deal... maybe the Warriors give on the no trade clause or team option.
