All things equal, I'd probably prioritize CB.

WR especially is a position I think you can find some value in the 2nd/3rd waves of FA. Eventually we'll need to add some primo talent but for an offense just getting its footing, I'd probably go boring and sign guys that can block and pick up 1st downs.

It's hard to get too far into the weeds without knowing anything about the coaching staff though.

I see LB as a solid option as well. It really looks like a good LB class and we have 2 on the roster ( I think ) just the Bergs.., Could also be a round 3 thing as well.

You probably know better than me. I pulled a couple of top 50-100 lists just to see who was projected around the spot in the draft. The Texas LB seems like a stud but he also seems like a guy that could end up in R1.

A couple intriguing LBs who have played a bunch of snaps and have some size and length.

Usually a handful of guys pop in the EW game.
 
Any WR we can draft in round 12 who will become first team All Pro?

Like teams and fans force QBs? If there is no good OL, trade back. Yes, there are needs a holes all over the roster, including RB depth. With Jeanty and Bowers, Tucker and Mayer and Bech are serviceable.

The D cannot be fixed in one season.

But if the O-line is not fixed, the entire O won't work, wasting a second year for Jeanty and Mendoza's first.

Tucker is used as a gadget because of an O-line that can't block and QBs with lousy arms (and Gino only throwing to Bowers and his boy). Pete Carrol giving snaps to Thornton was a waste.

Tucker is used as a gadget because of an O-line that can't block and QBs with lousy arms (and Gino only throwing to Bowers and his boy). Pete Carrol giving snaps to Thornton was a waste.

I'm a huge Tucker fan, but he's a 3. This team needs players at WR for sure. Pierce would go a long way towards upgrading this unit. Snaps to Thornton are a waste because he sucks. They tried to force that one but it's on him.

Why a 3?

Kid consistently gets separation and is a plus blocker.

Get a true Y dog and Tucker will feast. Dunno why they didn't value Jakobi Meyers.

Get one of the Ole Miss WRs in round 3.

I'd like to. But that was almost certainly a Spytek call. The gum-chewer never even tried to defend the move. Hurt his chances to win.

Almost starting to think signing Lockett was a jujitsu move by Spytek to get rid of Pete (who wouldn't play his draft picks) and Geno who sucked as a player and was a lousy teammate.

Maybe he could be more but he hasn’t shown the ability to make the tough catches.

Don't overthink it.

The brain trust simply didn't want to pay Meyers.

He realized that before he opted not to pay Meyers, don’t kid yourself. He stuck to his plan (don’t pay coin to a slow possession receiver). Hopefully this year he retains a player or two that we want. More importantly, hopefully he does more than dumpster dive (although I don’t need big splash singings outside, perhaps, the OL).
