Official Thread: 2022 World Cup

Because of US Soccer's new equal pay agreement, men and women split World Cup prize money.

With the USMNT advancing today, the two teams will each receive $6.5 million minimum.

That's more than the USWNT got for winning both the 2015 and 2019 World Cups combined: $6 million.

So the men make more money but they have to share their earnings in order to be "fair?"

Bullcrap.

Nah, any sports fan should be rooting for Messi to get a World Cup to cap off his career.

One of GOAT athletes period.
Fair, I don't pay enough attention to Soccer to know. I pretty much tune in a little bit once every 4 years...

Think Curry mixed with Iverson. Dude has accomplished everything there is to accomplish except for a World Cup, which is really important to the legacy of South American players. This highlight reel doesn't even really do him justice but still a pretty fun watch. Those Barca teams were incredible.

Plus Croatia has Modric the rat haha.
