I don't understand some of these takes, Patriots don't need a QB?
Why burn years on a rookie contract until you have roster ready to compete. Take one year to build your roaster, then draft a QB, the thinking goes.

When you have a shot at a legit QB and you don't have one you take that shot is how the thinking should go.
6 QB gone by #12?

Can’t be possible, could it?
Would be historic I do believe... I could definitely see it though.

I get the situation with New England. They have a roster that needs a lot of help. However knowing that next year’s quarterback crop isn’t stellar there is no time like the present to get your QBOTF…

I'll happily argue that NE should wait for their QB so they don't "ruin" him. But I'm tired of that argument for the Raiders for the bulk of the last 40 years.

Really good article on drafting of QBs and QB development.

AFC Executive

“Quarterbacks are drafted more based on their position than their actual skill level. Before the rookie wage scale, only players worthy of top money were drafted in the top 10. Now, quarterbacks are frequently picked in the top 10 simply because of their position, which pushes even mediocre quarterbacks into the top picks. This affects how other quarterbacks are evaluated.”

“Players like Trey Lance, Justin Fields, Mac Jones and Zach Wilson would likely be second or third-round picks if they came out when Aaron Rodgers did. The fact that they are considered top prospects highlights how desperate teams are for a quarterback and how inflated the quarterback market has become.”
