Does anyone even care if he finishes now? It would be pretty dumb to change the story from the show at this point no matter how badly it ended.

The only people I know who've read the books are over it. The show burned them that severely, I guess.

I tried reading one of the books after the series was over but it wasn’t different enough from the show to be bothered further.

Ridiculous. Just put a disclaimer at the beginning.

as much as I don't like it, revisions of books and media isn't anything new. That's why first editions are so valuable.

A man called Ove is solid. The Tom Hanks movie Otto is based on it. Not really my typical genre but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also read it before seeing the movie or even knowing it was related.
