I do not like the fact that Spytek referred to Jakobi as a “slot guy.” Jakobi has absolutely flourished as an outside receiver.

I think he's a slot guy by default at the moment. Will start and play outside. But right now we lack "slot guys" on the roster. We lack "talented wrs" on the roster outside of him.

Milroe or Sanders should be available at 37 unless some teams trade up in front of us, if we want to go that route. Otherwise, lots of CBs or WRs I like there.

I want the Samoan in the 2nd round.
I like him but i think he's a gap player and not a fit for what chip wants to do. Need to look for guys who can get to the 2nd level. Ratledge blew away the combine for a g. Pre combine was thought to be a mediocre athlete.

I’m pretty sure these player metrics nowadays are measured constantly at practices and in games with GPS tech that is embedded in their equipment not to mention all the very expensive camera you see all over the fields you probably don’t even really have to do a combine to get speed/agility numbers any more it’s more for show. Additionally most colleges get these numbers in their spring and summer practices/camps etc. I’m sure teams have access to that info, and a lot of times that stuff gets leaked anyways (UM does this, UM fans knew Devin Bush ran a 4.4 and that Aiden Hutchison and R. Gary were freaks for their size, agility and 40 time stuff was leaked for them a year before the draft at least.

Yes. Payton knows how to support his young QB. Let him play in system while his D shuts other teams down. Payton will coach for enough points.

Good teams, Vinny. Gruock, McZ, Red/JDR fucked this up.

Man I can’t like this ‘tweet’ and your post anymore than I possibly can. Not only did the Raiders pick the BPA on *their* board the last 2 years…but almost every single draft analyzer and people who have worked in NFL offices, had BB and AJ as *their* BPA when the Raiders were on the clock.

Just pick the best player - all around - when it’s your turn, and don’t reach. The Raiders have been the BEST at reaching (and it’s probably not close) over the last decade or two while teams like the Steelers and Ravens, etc., just pick damn good players. And we’ve seen how those two philosophies have translated into W’s and L’s over the years.

Something to add to the above…is if you’re gonna take the BPA route it’s gonna take some discipline and job security, IMO. To go the BPA route when everything inside you is screaming, ‘we got a huge hole at this position - we need to fill it now’!, takes some drafting discipline, IMO. But have that discipline for a few years and then look up and see what kind of roster you have. If we can finally stay draft disciplined for a few years we’ll probably find ourselves off this 2 1/2 decade long rut of mediocrity at best and downright bottom feeders at worst.
