Has Nips or anyone else and happen to seen Van Halen this reunion tour?

I just got word they are coming to the burgh in March and I hate to spend that kinda dough unless it's worth it.........



Hopefully they last that long!!!!!:pound:

They played recently here in NYC, and the response was very positive. I was going to go, but couldn't find my suede jacket with the fringe, and my acid-washed jeans were in the wash.
 
I have been a huge Van Halen fan for years!!

I first saw them in concert during the 1984 tour. My 1st concert, and what a fuckin party! Great show, everything you read about.

I met the boys back stage at the Hampton coliseum in VA. when I was 16. That was Sammy Hagars first tour. Talk about KillER!!!!!Drinkin beer with Van Halen, ya, what could be cooler, maybe a trip to TJ with Barret Robbins.

I saw them again, at Glen Helen Pavillion here in SoCal for Sammy Hagar's Birthday bash. Skid Row and some other band opened. I dont know if I was too hammered or the band wasn't that great, but the show was less than memorable.

the last time Is aw them was in 2004 at the brand new Quest Arena in Omaha right after I graduated from bootcamp. Got free VIP seating from a guy who claimed to be VH's lead driver for the past 25 years. Boy oh boy, I am glad I didn't pay for those tix. Who the hell signs autographs in mis show? Horrible I tell ya. The only real bright spot was a joint guitar solo (is that possible) from Edie and son Wolfie. Pretty cool.

Now, in regards to the reunion tour featuring David Lee Roth, I have not heard anything too great, but nothing horrible. But if it is anything close to the last 2 shows I went to, I wouldn't waste a dime on parking, let alone tix to the show.

THAT IS FUNNY I WAS AT THAT SHOW!!!!!


I have saw them with Sammy like 4 times they were really good every time.
I just worry that this is a money making thing and quality wise they will blow! I know they are in it to make money but I just hope they put it all out there and not hold anything back. I also wonder how Wolfgang is holding up...

There is one 80's Band I have followed since then, I am going to go see Tesla in Jan. here!!!!
I Still like them but they aren't glam like some other 80's bands.....they just put out a covers disc a few months back that is really good and no "signs" isn't on it.
 
They have yet to come to Florida.. But what I heard it is kickass

Do alot of old sh*t...

If I had a chance to see them I would..

And if VH ain't a hair metal band, we might need to redo our definitions. But since 1984 on, they were one....well at least until Dave's hair started to fall out.

My Definition for Hair metal, they don't fit into. Now maybe when Dave was in the band they were closer to that particular sytle. With him jumping around with swords and his mesh shirts!

p.s. Van Halen not Van Hagar
 
Diver Down and 1984 they had the hair band look down. They came before hair bands and they survived the short-lived (thankfully) trend.
