Off-Topic: Am I the last one to discover RSS feeds?

These things are freaking great.

I use Google Reader, and subscribe to various sports RSS feeds. Just in case I am not the last yahoo to the party, everyone should be using these. Collects all the updates from whichever page you subscribe too. Jerry Mac's blog, NFL news, on and on and on.

I subscribe to FootballGuys podcasts, Jerry Mac, and a fantasy news RSS feed.

Anyone have any good ones? If people are interested, I'll post the links for the ones I use.

Cool. Look up Google Reader, that's the one I use, but there's many.

It sets up one page with updates from whichever sites you choose. For example, you can have updates sent to your Google Reader page from Jerry Mac, without going to that ibabuzz page specifically. If you cruise the net, always going back to fanball or KFFL for late news, you can get all of the stories directed to one page.

Incredibly convenient. Any news site, sports site, whatever, that updates their content and has an RSS feed, you can "subscribe" to it, and instead of going to ONLY that site, you can peruse (!) the latest postings from a variety of sources.

Sign up for Google Reader, it's free, then bookmark it.

Click on the 'add subscription', and paste in the RSS URL of the site you want. NOT the web address but the RSS address. Two different things.

Try this one: http://rss.footballguys.com/bloggerrss.xml

then, when you go to Google Reader, all the latest football updates from FootballGuys is there. Any site you visit regularly, check for an RSS feed.

Cool part is, after you have a few subscriptions, if you click on 'discover', Google suggest new ones, based on your choices.

Cuts waaay down on the web surfing.
 
if youve upgraded to vista one of the gadgets on the sidebar is an rss viewer. handly little bastard

Will do, and I have no idea what these things do.

Also for context, I don't own a cell phone, and my MP3 player is a CD player.
 
My cell phone allegedly has an MP3 player, but I don't know for sure. Never tried to use it.

All about the iRaider for yours truly... Sickest phone eva... It's one of those things that changes everything you do... much greater impact on society than RSS feeds.
 
Don't know anything about RSS feeds either.

Don't own a cell phone, but I do have an mp3 player.

Also I don't have internet at home.

This does however, somewhat explain the Bones-ish lime green polyester pants and the matching "Progress Sucks" inscribed bowling shirt... Fight the Power Bryon, fight the Power...


I want to go over to Socal's house... he seems to have all the cool toys...
