Notre Dame/ LSU game thread????

Russell looked like a large Andrew Walter on that play...waving that football around like a fucking loaf of bread. Stay in school, boy! ;)

ND seems to have survived the initial rush.

Looks like they can run the ball on LSU a bit.

Brady my fuckin balls

fuck him

Bones... tap that brotha!!!!!!

Ugly pass there...

Calvin Johnson might climb one more spot on my draft rankings after tonite :(

I wouldn't mind seeing what Quinn would do in Russell's position:

No rush, with three Scottie Pippen's running free in the secondary.

hmmm with a running game developing, ND has a shot. Odd that Quinn needs a rushing to look like a QB. :p Weiss has made very good adjustments.

I say it every year, but I don't think judgements should be made on one game, especially on Bowl games where there is sometimes a months gap between the last game played...

Russell's got a cannon on him... Any doubt that Vince Young's success is going to help him come draft day?..

I'm off the Quinn bandwagon if I have to say right now.

I know it's halftime, but... I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but God, the guy just shits the bed against the best competition.

He looks scared and jittery out there. Several very bad decisions. Wobbly balls all over the place. Little touch. Some balls hang too high, some are too ropy. Yuck.

Russell, on the other hand... at first I'm of the inclination, because of his number and the Superdome background, to say he's a fatter Brooks but he's selling me himself pretty well. Only thing, like mass mentioned, that fumble was horrible ball handling... and he doesn't even check off sometimes on those WR screens. Although that could simply be coaching and playcalling.

TRADE DOWN FOR MARSHAWN LYNCH!!!

J.Russell looks like a QB Al would break his rule about drafting Qb's for. Big , Athletic and a cannon arm. Moss would love the pick!

yeah, that fumble looked like he was just trying to do too much. he probably (hopefully) won't do that again.

I really wouldn't be surprised to Al go after this guy.

I find myself kind of doing that and tell myself not to, but shit. I had every hope tonight he'd just win me over fully and for good. So far it's been far from that so I'm pretty let down.

He looks like he's in the Michigan game again, almost.

For anyone who missed it, on the pregame, Terry Bradshaw showed him a Raiders helmet in an interview taped earlier, and asked him what he thought. He cracked a smile and said, "My girlfriend says I'd look good in black." That was about it. He also brought out a Lions helmet and a Browns helmet. His reaction was more positive to those and they joked about how it was closer to home for him.

I know its one game for some. But Quinn's arm isnt close to Russell's and I'd almost contend whether its better than Walter's based on the games i've seen overall. Either way Russell is Dante Cullpepper with an even stronger arm and bigger hands.. I do think he should stay another year to up his stock with a heisman

Quinn should also officially have two picks in the game because when he zeroed in on Samardzija early there was a horrible call where they overturned an interception. I thought the DB clearly had it.

J. Russell might have the strongest arm I've seen since Elway. He can throw bullets but also can put some touch on it. He's huge and mobile at the same time. He appears heads and shoulders above Quinn imo, at least in this game.

Russell was talked about as a top 15 pick before this game...If he finishes with a whoopin on Brady Quinn, it might be a two horse race for the top QB spot.

C'mon Quinn, show the haters somthing here...

If we consider Russell, though, we have to ask him in interviews if he'll agree to wear number 12 instead of number 2 god damn it.

I don't think I've ever seen a QB flick the ball and throw it 60 yards so effortlessly. Can he pass the Rorshact thingy?

No question that guy has a rocket attached to his arm. Impressive.

I wonder how NFL ready this cat is though. I think he's a big project.

Wait'll he has his workouts.

I don't think Quinn will drop down based on one game, everyone knows he's playing with a lesser team here. Jamarcus hasn't faced much pressure.

But one of the few games I saw was the Auburn game, when he DID face some pressure, and he looked good then as well.

I'll wait and see how the offseason progresses. The draftniks will sway me, as they do every year.

I dunno, he's not running a Mickey Mouse offense, has a nice release, holds the ball where he should, I've seen him make some nice checkoffs, why is he more of a project than any other kid?

I mean, Quinn has had pro coaching, but is he that more advanced than Russell?
