Non QB Draft thread

We don’t “need” to QB…
Excuse Me What The Fuck You Say GIF by Power Book II: Ghost

Harbaugh can draft the #1 or #2 position player. I’m hoping Ariz takes MHJ and Harbaugh trades down or takes Joe Alt. I don’t want MHJ, Nabers or Odunze paired with Herbert. That would suck for years to come.

BTW, even with the recent talk about Nabers being the WR1 for some teams, Daniel Jeremiah has Nabers WR3, not b/c he had anything bad to say about this dynamic WR, but b/c he loves Odunze. Having the best contested catch guy on 3rd down, in the redzone and playoffs is a more important skill set, to him, than a deep threat or YAC.

Wonder why no 40? With his vert, jump and agility, how slow can he be?

Marshawn’s another guy I like with similar numbers but with more size. Preparing for life after Koonce?

Is Marvin Harrison Jr just so talented that he's receiving very little criticism for not running/jumping and doing drills etc? I fully understand that Blue Chip prospects like him have little to gain and lots to lose by jumping/running etc. I dont even blame him and would likely advise the same were I his agent. I do think he has gotten somewhat of a free pass when the other WR's showed out. There are real questions about his top end speed and explosiveness for a top 5 pick. Its not unrealistic to say that may bother teams enough to trade back in a QB heavy draft.

I wonder if he is worried about his numbers as well as injury etc I wouldnt love it if i were a GM with to other stud WR"s sitting there. He isnt Randy Moss/MegaTron imo.

I’m sure he’s comfortable enough in his draft projections that he’s willing to risk rubbing a few people the wrong way. He’s a watch the tape type of player and if you’re a GM that covets him, you might actually like that he’s not doing it. My guess is that he’s spoken to teams behind the scenes and they’re good with it.

Yes, he is that talented. Closest to a sure thing in the draft.

MHJ is going to be good. Will he be great? I don't know. I don't think he's Megatron as a prospect either and if there was a fat bounty to trade back a little I'd pass and take one of the other wideouts and still be happy.

Hard to hate on low risk, high floor, high ceiling prospect. Each factor in. Missing on a 1st round pick is such a waste, it’s really unforgivable . . . unless you took a QB swing, which comes with the territory. It’s why solid OL picks don’t bother me.
