I think with the focus and rightfully so on QB during this draft season. It may be time to switch focus just a tad and actually look at some of the other positions. Realistically we may be looking to draft a non QB with our first round pick.

We’ve got options in this draft if we choose to go the move back up or grab a FA route.

OT seems to have multiple options that will go in the 1st and early second.

Olumuyiwa Fashanu
Joe Alt
JC Latham
Taliese Fuaga
Amarius Mims
Tyler Guyton

Everyone of these guys could be in play for Vegas in the 1st or 2nd round. I do think atleast 2-3 will be gone by the time we pick at 13 but the order is definitely not a consensus as we learn more as to what teams may be thinking.

At CB you have another solid group of players who will be available and possibly land on the Raiders roster from round 1-2.

Terrion Arnold
Kool-Aid McKinstry
Nate Wiggins
Quinyon Mitchell
Cooper DeJean
TJ Tampa

Same thing as above very easily could be part of our 1st round wish list come draft day. I’m not too keep on DeJean as a CB however. I do think if we watch these guys we will quickly see who our DC will like and won’t like. You had best be able to tackle and be willing to get after the runner with AP.

DT position seems to me to be a 2 horse race with the recent climb up the ladder of Murphy and how teams potentially view him.

Jer'Zhan Newton
Bryon Murphy

Are either of these guys anywhere near the level of the kid from last year Carter? I’m not sure. DT always scares me in the draft even if we need one. Seems like they will be both available to us @13

WR is a bit of a non need pick. However if one of the big 3 happen to fall into our laps would you consider making the pick in preparation for Adams fall off. How about if we do draft that QB in the 1st does anyone stand out as a potential 2nd round pick?

Keon Coleman
Brian Thomas Jr
Ladd McConkey
Troy Franklin

I left off top 3 guys but I do wonder if Odunze, Nebors or Harrison for whatever reason fall into our lap do we grab em.

Edge rushers have a few options and oddly enough I don’t think we pay enough attention to the idea we could draft one in the 1st round again. We do seem to have a solid duo ATM but one injury and our depth goes to shit. Could we potentially grab one of these guys?

Dallas Turner
Laiatu Latu
Jared Verse
Chop Robinson

Does anyone stand out to you as an edge that you would just feel like you have to have them on your team rather than draft a QB that you are not enthralled with?

I already hear the responses so let me fill them in for you ahead of time.

Bones says “Just move up and get your guy and quit fucking around” he adds a #selltheteam at the end.

007 says “If you don’t have a QB you don’t have anything, just get the damn QB”

Darkenbolt says “I should ask Marvin what we are gonna do since he’s running the team now”

And if NIPS was still here he would say “Fuck you bullshit mustard in yer eye”

HB is saying “draft the damn DE and why the hell are CB’s even in this damn list”

This really is about looking at other options.

I’m not personally sold on the DT’s at 13 even though I keep seeing them mocked to us.

I do like damn near every OT outside of the Bama kid. They just scare the hell out of me now. The kid Fuaga and Guyton are real interesting at 13

I am also very keen to one of the top 4 CB’s all look to be solid options.

Is Dallas Turner as good as he appears? Kid looks real good to me to be honest

can’t really bitch about taking an OT if they are a real stud. I’d say if we don’t take a QB and one of the top two WRs is there I consider it.

Chop Robinson has some serious get off.

Hard to take my eyes off of Jared Verse.

Wilson looks like a bust with elite speed to power conversion. They should have someone stand behind him with a cattle prod every rep in practice, never seen anything like him.

Not on your list, but I'm officially all-in for Jackson Powers-Johnson. No player at any position was as dominant at the Senior Bowl. He has one year as a starter, so his entire performance is almost his floor. The dude is more than country strong, even with a few things a pro coach will fix, he mirrors and anchors well in pass pro, with nasty aggressive hands. In run blocking, he is a monster, and nasty. He is exactly what the center of the line needs, and he fits in just as well as a G. Too high at 13, but I'd trade down or up from the second to get him.

Couldn't do it at 13 but would love to have the player and he's probably gone at our 2 spot.

Ya he’s amazing. Just not a position I look to upgrade in the 1st round given our needs elsewhere that can be addressed and have higher value.

He’s one of those rich get richer picks in the 2nd half of round one that everyone gets pissed they were able to get.

That's why if we don't trade up, I'd be okay trading back. There are better value picks at DT than interior O-line. But I'd trade back into the late first round to get him. Almost a generational talent.

Telescope does not trade down. So, if he’s a generational talent, somebody will have to convince Telescope to pull the trigger at #13.

The new guy at GM doesn't trade up or down. But there's this thing about past performance does not predict the future. But hell, in all seriousness, I'd take him at #13, draft Rattler and look for the best 3-tech in the third.

Usually it’s the best indicator though.

I suspect he and Mark have already had that conversation.

*Mark hands Telesco a quarter*

Telesco: "Why are you giving me..."

Mark: "I'm not giving it to you, Tom. It's a loan from the Raiders organization. As the general manager, your top priority is to repay that loan. Payment is due on April 25th."

Telesco: ":wtf1:"

Mark: "A quarterback, Tom. I need you to do whatever it takes to ensure the Raiders get their quarter back."

He tore the corners off a napkin when giving Reggie his marching orders. This wouldn't be out of character for him.

And some 12 years later we are still looking for those 2 corners

Likely one. The Loveboat has all the skills, and helped transform the D. Seriously, in all the videos I've seen of the D this year, he's the only guy who consistently gets Maxx to stand up and high five when he walks over.

Hobbes is a good slot corner and very good in run support. Also a good blitzer. I'm not saying Amik is a long term foundation at the other corner, but in the last nine games he showed pretty well.

But that's a pair of day three picks and a scrap heap FA. In the draft, Ugh, Arnette, Conley, Hayden...

If we stand pat and let the draft come to us and grab a CB in the 2nd round I think we could still get a solid prospect. It’s not an overly deep class of high end talent but, I think there is enough to be able to grab a potential starter on the outside in the 2nd.
