I'm pretty sure most had a problem with the other part of the opening ceremony. I've seen a lot of conservatives saying that the Gojira part was badass.

I saw the Gojira stuff included in the conversation, but not to the same degree. Satan Derangement Syndrome is still a real thing.
 
it would appear many conservatives are outraged at what they thought was the last supper but was actually Greek Mythology.
I didn’t look into it too deep.
