Walter Thomas – DT ,hails from a small school, Northwest Mississippi Community College

6’5 370 MF’er pounds!!!, dude runs a 4.8.. that’s right 4 MF’ing 8

Thomas Played in only two games this year for his tiny Community College, but completely and utterly dominated those games with 16 tackles, 9 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. Thomas is only a junior, so this young man has a lot of upside. Word is he’s the talk of many NFL scouts. Could be someone to really consider in the 5th rd

Mario Urrutia – WR Louisville.. 6’6, 227 lbs, apparently runs a 4.4.

Certainly has all the physical attributes of a one Calvin Johnson

Saw this cats team just drum my USF Bulls on TV the 1st week of the season. A redshirt, he has stated he might return to Louisville, but with the exit of Petrino, it looks like this kid might opt for the NFL

Mario Urrutia is a JR who will more than likely be a top 20 pick next year...

Never heard of the big guy above him though...Intrigued to say the least.
 
Why'd that guy only play in two games? Did he play at all his sophmore year?

Sounds more like a guy you'd pick up as a 7th/FA and slap him on the PS.

He's a redshirt sophmore eligible for the NFL Draft

He could very well be a top 20 pick, highly unlikely tho' but he had a couple bad games this year, and with Petrino gone, if that offense tanks it.. and Mario has another bad year making it 2 in a row he could drop far

Right now entering he'd be a 3rd rd'er
 
Yeah, but the deadline to declare was back in January. If he ain't in now Nips, he ain't in this year at all.

I was thinking the same thing.

Unless he's going supplemental draft style, he won't be wearing a Raider jersey till the '08 draft... ;)

That's a big boy... Judging by that look on his face, it appears someone just asked him to spell 'cat'...

I guess he can play some if he was recruited to Oklahoma, but anyone actually see him on the field?... Any reason why he managed to get on the field for two games at a mid CC?...

When I saw that photo a couple weeks back the 1st thought was Bob Sapp's character from the longest yard remake. "Will you teach me to football?"

Ranked the 23 top DT in the country outta High School

That MF'er runs a 4.8? Holy shitballs!!!!

Cortez Kennedy came from Northwestern Miss Community College

I'm just saying.....
 
OK, one of you two needs to change his avatar. I always think turk is saying something when it's Nips, and vice versa.

If he can really run that fast, he'd be worth a look later in the draft.

Its a bug image. Look at the size of that drumstick. For size comparisons - he's standing next to Rennard McDaniel who is 6'4", 326.

If he can really run that fast -someone is going to take a flyer on him. He's not on the combine invite list (http://www.nflcombine.net/files/invlist/last_name_sort.html) so he's going to have to do a pro day or something.

Yeah, he'll probably just go to the one over at Mid-West Mississippi Teachers College.

A guy like that really shouldn't be drafted, unless a team is willing to actually develop him. Year or two in Europe, lotsa work with him.


Love to see him on our roster, but as a UDFA. Be surprised if he was ven drafted.

NFL Draft Scout currently has him ranked as the #73 DT. BTW, he was dismissed from the Oklahoma Stae team, not sure why.

They have different 40 yard times for this big mamma jamma, closer to 5.2

Does Taj ring a bell with some of you? I remember being stoned to death by some of you when I rallied for the selection of him.. Fluff you called him.. And I kept my cool and let it slide.. But Taj showed some solid progress for us.. Not a bad 6th rd pick

Now with Sands resigned, and Sapp a year or 2 away from cane support...

It's vital we search and select DT's for this team. Wont be necessary for that DT to even play this year.. Sapp will string another year here.

Marcus "He got weed!!" Thomas can fuckin ball, and if we get a comp pick for Cwood late in rd 3.. thats the cat we should draft there, he's a 1st rd talent dropping because he blew a hoofer

Then pick up Walter Thomas in rd 5

DT is a premium position in the NFL, it;s very important we use some of our resourses to secure DT prospects

I'd be thrilled if we have guys like Kelly, Sands, Hawthorne, Thomas & Thomas.. all 5 guys battling it out for the 2 starting DT positions in 2008 when Sapp boogies.... And just to toss in another.. perhaps we draft a DT high in next years draft giving us 6 DT's to throw agaisnt the wall and see which 2 stick

By the way, I'm hearing from Tampa Simeon Rice has been getting calls from Warren Sapp... Take it for what its worth
