And I'm not sure if it's been mentioned here or not so I have'nt seen it but dig,

Strike anybody as odd that Madden, Hall of Fame & Raiders?

Madden pulled some strings?

My point is, if'n he did have some influence

Am the only one here that raised an eyebrow?

Kinda makes all the bad calls in the NFL a little odd dontcha think?

Well, I think there was more than one coincidence.

Art Shell, HOF member, returns as head coach.

Al Davis, HOF member, will present Madden and isn't in the greatest health, if you believe the reports, so it's nice to give him two reasons to be there.

Art Shell was in the league front office and might have been pushing for it before he took the job.

The bad calls come with the territory.

The league knows how to sell itself, and combining all those Raider connections into HOF week makes for great marketing. The NFL isn't full of dummies. Half full or half empty, I vacillate.
